Veneers Pushing Upper Lip out Too Far, What Can Correct This?

I had veneers put in over my already straight teeth no grinding of naturale teeth. Mine did not show anymore. Now mouth protrudes out like a pussy cat dentist created an overbite my natural teeth line up no overbite. very unhappy teeth nice mouth awful

A: when they do not prep ( remove tooth structure) to place veneers

This happens when they do not prep ( remove tooth structure) to place veneers . This is one of the reasons why I  personally  am not a fan of  no prep veneers such as in the concept behind  lumineers .

everything has to be taken into consideration. Teeth are a part of  our face not an isolated portion. Minimal prep is almost always advised. You do need to do them over. son, wrinkles and unnecessary lines form on your lips and surrounding borders of your mouth. they also have more possiblility of chipping if your teeth have over jet/overbite .

please visit an experienced cosmetic dentist.

Professional Bleaching Didn't Whiten my Teeth. Why? What Other Options Are There?

In-office dental bleaching didn't whiten my teeth at all. Why did this happen? What other treatments are there available that guarantee whiter teeth?

A: In office whitening does not work on every one

In office professional whitening does not whiten  every one's teeth and not as white as one would like it to get. So some patients get great results, some get OK results and some get none. However , about 80% get great results, 15 % OK results and 5% do not get the result they need with using only one system. They may need to try different systems or combination there of.

WHY? simple ! teeth are not the same even in the same mouth. Look into your own mouth, some teeth are darker, some lighter, some grayer, some yellower . Some teeth have been stained with well water, medicine, systemic disease.... I wish there was a "one size fit all" solution for this.

Can a Bad Dental Crown Cause TMJ? Is it Permanent?

In Nov I got crown for tooth #30,was broken and doesn't have any infection(#30 was impacted by #31 now removd) I crown altered my bite and caused some pain and mild headaches which started to build up, also started to have stiff jaw. After two months I went to replace the crown. Now I'm waiting for my permanent crown but for last few days I had stiff jaw, weird feeling in my ear and can't close my jaw properly without effort. Is this TMJ? Is this going to be permanent? Please advise. Thank you.

A: extraction and changing the bite can cause TMJ disorder

Extraction whether undergoing the trauma of extraction, holding mouth too wide, too long, or pressing the nerve  , tooth loss,  and changing the bite all can cause TMJ disorder . Any bite change due to restorations ( filling, crown, bridge....can also do the same.

Please ask your dentist to do a complete occlusal ( bite)  evaluation and adjustment, and almost always when the cause is removed so is the symptoms.
