i have Asymmetrical cheekbones, one is higher than the other.so i am wondering if there is any way to fix it .also i want cheeks implants ,but am scared if i get them done the asymmetry of my cheeks will be more obvious!? pleas i need an expert opinion.
Cheek or cheekbone enhancement is becoming much more popular, not only in younger patients for aesthetic reasons, but also in older patients as they notice that the tissue over their cheekbones come down with aging. There are nonsurgical as well as surgical options. Nonsurgical options include injections of filler, with the most popular now being Radiesse. This option is great for someone who: only needs mild improvement, is not sure how it will look and wants to see if they like it, or who does not wish surgery or can't have surgery for medical reasons. The results are immediate and can be repeated. For those that know what they want and wish permanent results, cheek implants can produce beautiful results - like anything, you need to look for a board certified plastic surgeon who is well experienced and can show you examples of their work. Any procedure should be anticipated on how it will look with aging, but in the right patient, the result can be beautiful and long lasting.
I hate the shape of my face. My lower cheeks are too big. I am very slim so I cannot lose anymore weight. My mother has the same face shape even though she is nearly 60. Two years ago, I got lipo done on my face and chin, and although I saw a small improvement I am not satisfied. I tried accent ultra but saw no results. Furthermore I feel within the past couple of months fat has started to build up in my face again! Would you suggest buccal fat removal, cheek implants, or more lipo? Please help!
Since, you have already had liposuction of the cheek region and are not happy with the results, removal of buccal fact might be a good option for you. The incisions are made on the inside of the cheek so no incisions will be visible. Talk to your surgeon and visit all the options that are available to you so that you will make a good decision for yourself.
is it possible to remove a permament filler in cheek after 1 year, with surgery?
Permanent fillers can be removed, but surgery is required, and often multiple surgeries are required, at that. I know that the lure of permanent fillers is significant, but the problems with them can be even more significant. For that reason, I advise my patients to go with the short term fillers which can last 1 year and sometimes longer. Also, remember that our faces keep changing and last year’s solution can become next year’s problem.
