Implant Removal Results Without Lift?

I am 20 years old and in July of 2010, so a year ago, I had breast augmentation. I was at around a 32 B before the surgery and I had 450cc saline implants put in on top of my muscle. I have had many doubts about them since and I am now considering getting them removed with no aditional lift after. I am curious to know what type of results I will get or if there is anything I can do to optimize my results.

A: Breast implant removal after subglandular breast augmentation

Saline breast implants stretch the skin envelope in which they reside, especially if they were placed on top of the chest muscle .  I have had some young women who opted for saline breast implant removal without additional surgery.  Prior to surgery they were both "tight chested" and afterwards they had additional skin but their nipple position was not excessively low.  They both agreed that they looked like women who had completed pregnancies, in that the superior pole fullness and perky look was lost.

Removal of your implants requires a lot of soul searching.  I would encourage you to discuss your dissatisfaction with your implanting surgeon and elicit his/her opinion.  Good luck

Implant Removal, How Long Should I Wait After Initial Augmentation?

I got implants 350 silicone from a 34A/B. I'm an athlete and made a mistake. I would like to get them out asap but as safely as possible. I had my surgery on June 14, 2011. Can some one advise me on how long I should wait to remove them safely and the best time to remove them so that they go back to pre-op shape? My doctor said that I have to wait until the blood vessels go back to normal. Are there "explant" experts? My doc. has never taken them out and I would like my muscles to go back to normal

A: removal of breast implants after two weeks

You should give more thought to having your implants removed. If you really want them removed, you can do so at anytime. However, your breasts will never be quite the same. I recommend consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in breast explantation.

Best wishes,

Can Doc Use Genral Anesthsia Again if Used 15 Days Ago for Mini Tummy Tuck and Breast Aug?

I got breast augmentation and mini tummy tuck was under genral anesthisia for 4 hrs. can doc use general again to remove breast implants? Very scared. but i really want the implants removed.

A: Breast Implant removal

Yes.  You may have another anesthesia when given by a board certified anesthesiologist if you are young nad healthy.  Regarding your implants, you should discuss your concern with your surgeon.  Sometimes, it may be possible to remove an implant under local anesthesia if the incision is easily accessible.
