Breast Lift or Breast Reduction Surgery for 21 Year Old?

Hello. I am a healthy 21 year old and had a two-part question. I am considering either Breast Lift or Breast Reduction surgery.

My breasts have always been saggy, but in recent times are getting worse and taking on a "teardrop" like shape/losing volume and really stetching at the beginning of my breast.

Which procedure may best suit my needs? Should I wait until after I have children? (I was considering pumping, instead of feeding (future) baby directly from me) Thanks!!

A: A breast reduction almost always includes a lift Many times I do the procedure you are talking about for the problem you are describing by doing a breast lift with a very small amount of tissue reduction. The reduction is not to reduce the aide of the breast but to improve the shape. By removing some tissue I can get the breast to have a prettier rounder shape with less fullness in the outside part of the breast.

Do You Need Two Surgeries for Breast Lift and Augmentation?

The doctor told me that with a Breast lift and a Breast augmentation done in the same surgery/same day, I could only go to a B cup. Or I could have two surgeries, one to have the Breast lift and then the second one for the augmentation, where I could have any size implant put it.

The reason for this is so they don't have to worry about closing up tight skin around a big implant. I have never heard of this before. Does the size or your breast before the implant affect how big you can go?

A: 2 surgeries for breast lift and implantation is probably the safest way to do this combined operation Your surgeon is correct in suggesting 2surgeries for a breast augmentation and lift. Many of the common complications of breast augmentation with lift can be avoided or minimized when the surgery is performed in 2 procedures.

Swollen Breasts

Hi, I have had a breast uplift ten days ago and I am still very swollen and bruised, is this normal and when should it go away? Thanks.

A: Post breast surgery swelling is normal even weeks after the procedure It is not unusual to have swelling of the breasts for many weeks after surgery. Especially after a breast lift with an implant it is very common to have some residual swelling more than 2 months after the surgery. The majority of swelling goes away in the first few weeks but it can take unto 6 months before the result of the surgery have completely stabilized and the final shape is apparent.
