“Subtle Improvement - Redwood City, CA”
I had Ulthera done in four sections along my jaw to improve the appearance of jowls. It took about 20 minutes total. I took 800mg of ibuprofen before the treatment. Still, it was very painful and I had nerve pain, with occasional "zings" of sharp pain in my jaw and teeth for about 3 days after the procedure. After 4 months, I'm not seeing much of an improvement. What do others think?After... more
“Skin Tightening with Eyebrow Lift -...”
The treatment is painful and can leave one with temporary sensations of numbness in treated areas. Communication is the key to successful treatment. During the treatment I experienced an increase sensation of discomfort from the prior pulses, I told the provider whom adjusted the head . Its a good thing I communicated this or I may have ended up with more then the three grid marks I had in my... more
Hi have had Ultherapy a couple of times awhile back (I'm 43) and just had it done again. I have to say it matters WHO does it more than anything. I had "ok" results the first couple of times but this last time I went to someone new and she did an AMAZING job. I wish I had gone to her in the first place. Highly recommend it and it seriously works well on me. I feel like more aggressive... more
“Smooth and Firm - Palo Alto, CA”
I have seen D. Hessler for Botox, filler and a variety of skin brighteners, but she suggested the Ultheraphy. It was a simple in office procedure that involved a little relaxer to take the edge off and a wand smoothing out the lines on my face and neck. It was not painful until she went around the temples which the muscles twitched as she went back and forth. The neck and eyes were the... more
“Now The Wait Begins - Walnut Creek, CA”
Hi Everyone! Well after months of research, including reading all of these reviews, I committed to having Ultherapy done this afternoon. I will detail my experience and then (drumroll please) I WILL be posting pictures at the 3 month mark. I think reviews are not too useful without the photographic evidence. So here we go: I am 38, and am having Ultherapy to see if it can raise my... more
“The Most Painful Experience of my...”
I just had the treatment yesterday. It was administered by a md/derm and the cost was $2500. I'm not sure of the results yet, but can tell you about the pain... it was simply ENORMOUS and i was medicated with the prescribed pain medication taken 30 min prior. I've had 2 children (natural child birth) and laser hair removal, but neither compare to this horrifically painful treatment. I can not... more
“Much Better Than Themage - San...”
I expected a great deal more of pain but with the medication cocktail I was surprised that I was able to endure the discomfort. Already I can see some lifting and my face feels like I have had a good rest. I am pleased so far about my jaw line and neck. I am reporting after 24 hours and hope I will see more improvement in the next few days. more
“Ulthera Brow Lift and Eye Area...”
I have some loose skin above/below my eyes. My brows are slightly lower than I want. (I had tried Exilis in that area 2x.) Total Pain was low (think lower face is worse). Yes hurt, but for 1 hr in room, but only 3 min total treatment (30 rounds @ 5 sec each). No diff yet, only day 1. 3 mo. to go.It has been 1 month and 4 days. I can't see a difference yet. :( 2 more months to go.... more
“Ulthera, Day 2 - Daly City, CA”
Pros- non invasive, good reviews, skin complexity improved after procedure Cons- pain, result may vary I am a 46 year old woman. Done Ulthera yesterday. It was painful, 5/10 level, took iboprofen 800 mg and vicodin. Had redness for about an hour after. It's only day 2, my skin looks smoother and brighter, fine lines on forehead almost disappear. Eye brows lifted about 1/2 cm. My... more
“Ultherapy - Walnut Creek, CA”
I am turning 50 in a couple of months and wanted to have a little lift to my jowl area so I thought Ultherapy would be a good option for me since I don't think I'm ready for a lower face lift yet. My friend had it done and I went with her. She got about 24 shots of lidocane in her face as well as a vicodin and xanax to help with the pain. She got immediate results and was very... more
“Ultherapy- No Visible Results - San...”
Extremely painful, No visible results, not worth it!! The procedure was performed by an assistant, not the doctor. I did not have pain meds or lidocaine for pain as I was told this could lead to bruising. Big mistake! For over an hour, I felt like I was being electrocuted with every jolt. As for the results, I was extremely swollen for days around the eyes- the swelling equivalent to... more
“Very Happy with Results - Mountain...”
I had the perimeter of my face done two weeks ago and am very impressed with the results. Over the past 3 years I have lost 50lb and also hit 50 years so I started getting jowls! My chin and neck has really firmed up and there is a lift to my brow - eyes look more open and jaw line is more defined. I am thrilled with the look because it is very natural. I say I look like I did 10 years ago... more
“Ulthera Today - San Francisco, CA”
I was invited by my trusted dermatologist to be a "model" for the nurses Ulthera training session. Luckily, most of his staff are still too young to be suitable for this procedure. I have a stupid wattle and jawline laxity and was thrilled there may be something out there, other than surgery, that works. I must admit, this sites comments made me so nervous! Was given a... more
“Ulthera with No Pain Meds - San...”
It's been 3 weeks since I had the Ulthera treatment. I think it's too soon to give an accurate review but I want to talk about my experience going through ulthera with no pain killers or nerve blocks. I tend to be average when it comes to pain tolerance and honestly felt like my experience wasn't as bad as I'd anticipated. The doctor told me that I would experience pain and... more
“Had Ulthera Treatment Today -...”
I made an appointment for Ulthera to, mainly, tighten up my jowls and neck. I was very nervous when I went in for the treatment today. However, once we got started, I did not find the pain to be too severe. The temple area and near the lower jaw sent a little jolt through me. Other than that, I would rate the overall pain (on a scale of 1 to 10), to be a 3 to 5, or mild to occasionally... more
