I have mole on the inner breast cleavage area and need to have it removed. Is there any chance they will puncture or pop my breast implant by using a small needle to numb to area? I am very worried and don't want to take any chances of them doing this , but also afraid of having skin cancer?
Dear Calhoun 32. It's highly unlikely that removal of a mole over the inner cleavage of the breast will result in puncturing the underlying implant. I would suggest that you see a plastic surgeon who does breast implants or even the plastic surgeon who did the implants for you. My only concer for you would be the formation of an unfavorable scar in this region. Make sure that the mole really needs to be removed. Discuss this with your surgeon. Good luck.
I have a mole on my cheek that is the diameter of a pencil eraser and is raised 4mm or so. I've had it checked, and have no troubles with it, but is it getting larger with age, and cosmetically, I do not like it. I'm apprehensive to have it removed, but want to. Are there concerns other than scarring? How do I go about finding a doctor qualified to remove it?
Because the mole is getting larger in size, it would be prudent to have it removed. I would seek a Facial Plastic Surgeon, Plastic Surgeon, or Dermatologist with cosmetic experience in the face to remove this and minimize any potential scarring. In addition, some offices, including mine, will recommend a scar minimizing ointment following removal
