I am getting liposuction to my inner and outer thighs and possibly buttocks. I have always disliked the shape of my bum. In particular there is a crease between my buttocks and thigh and thus my buttocks appears to "droop". However, I am concerned that buttocks liposuction may actually worsen the crease and result in a flat shapeless bottom. Are there any other procedures to shape my bum? I have heard of fat grafting and was wondering if this would be suitable?
Dear Clara_bella. I would suggest proceeding with liposuction to the outer thighs and maybe a little from the inner thighs - too much fat removal from the inner thighs can result in a slot appearance. Any fat removal from the thigh-buttock juncture could result in more of a sagging of the buttock mound. Talk to your surgeon about removing some fat from the buttock/lower back juncture and grafting fat to the superior aspect of both buttocks to give you a rounder and less deflated appearance. Good luck!
Hi all! I haven't had any kids so at first I was just thinking that with lipo I would be fine, but a doctor I consulted said I will have some irregularities with just lipo and that I need a TT. I do have saggy skin and is not tight so I am afraid it won't bounce back with just lipo. I am not planning to have any kids now. Please let me know your opinion, I will be posting pictures.
Dear SweetestDream. It is impossible for any of the physicians responding to your question to make a definitive decision about which procedure would be appropriate for you without examining your skin. If you have good to excellent skin tone, I would vote for liposuction without any skin excision. Your immediate results (first 3 to 6 months) could be excellent but the long term results would be disappointing if you are not able to maintain your newly acquired weight and figure by decreasing your dietary intake permanently. Good luck!
