Hello, I am currently 5 weeks post op. I am satisfied with the overall shape, but there is a color difference between my labia and the area of the sutures. I had a wedge method, therefore, the stitches are horizontal right in the middle my labia. It is on both side and much pinker. The major color difference is so obvious. It does not hurt at all, but does feel abit hard from the stitches that havent dissolved yet. Is this permanent or an early stage of healing?
The current color will improve with time. This is a natural result of scarring process. I recommend that you wait a bit longer, i.e. several more months, and then see your plastic surgeon if things haven't improved.
I am considering vaginal rejuvenation to tighten my vagina to be the same as it was when I first started having sex. It was tight for the forst 2 years after having sex and now has doubled in size. I started off being very tight, so some would consider me avergae size, but I miss the way it used to be :( If I get this procedure how long will it last? Some say it goes back to the previous condition pretty quickly! No one has clear answers regarding the lasting result.
Labiaplasty, if performed correctly, should last. The issue, of course, will be stretching. Scar tissue, which is created by the operation during the healing process, will be less stretched than natural tissue.
I had a labioplasty almost three years ago and the doctor removed both of the labias completely, which was a surprise for me as I just wanted them reduced. She said there's nothing she can do about the clitorial hood. Now I think it looks too disproportionate and the lack of continuity bothers me. I did not let any of my partners or anybody except this doctor to look at my vagina, and now I feel too embarassed as well as I feel it looks so unnatural.Could it be corrected by another operation?
Dear Violet28,
I am sorry to hear about your concerns. In some but not all situations, labiaplasty revision may be possible. I would consult with an experienced labiaplasty surgeon.
Warmest wishes,
