PAL liposuction of abdomen done by a PS 3 1/2 weeks ago (Nov 2011). My abdominal area looked like a "3" if you looked at me sideways. Had 1150 ccs of fat removed. 1st day was great, I had the flat belly I always wanted. 2 weeks into my recovery I got my period (which always makes me bloated). The bloated feeling continues today and I noticed that the "belly pouch" is back(smaller). PS told me that this is normal and to wait until my next visit (end of Jan 2012). Will it get flatter again?
this is very normal to have significant swelling after liposuction as long as there is not fluid collection or a seroma..Your doc can tell. Be patient, wear the compression garment and dont exercise.
I'm 30 y/o 5'4 127 lbs and have 4 kids. I dont have much bulging I just want my waist back, I have like 2 strech marks under my belly button and my skin is not wrinkly. I really dont want a tummy tuck because of the scar, I dont have any scars, but I also dont want lose wrinkly skin. Which would be a better choice?
You are a candidate for liposuction. Your skin looks good, not hanging, no looseness around the belly button. However, you will look more slim but the skin will not be tight. You will have some irregularities. You expectations must be closely examined. A tummy tuck will give a tight flat abdomen with a tight waist.
My surgeon told me that i would see results at 1 month but that is only a week away so i don't see how this is going to change that much in that time. The day after the procedure i liked the result and took pictures 2 days later but since then it has been getting worse and is now the same if not worse than before i had it done. I'm really upset and depressed about this as i have paid almost £3,000 for nothing. can anyone help?
If you liked it two days after this is where it will end up. Have you been wearing a compression garment. You have normal swelling and must be patient.
