I had a bad experience with Microdermabrasion. It left me horribly red and veiny. I have had about 8 IPL treatments with good results. It got rid of most of the veins and lightened the redness.
I am considering V beam treatments. Will the V beam give me better results if the IPL isn't very effective anymore? I really need some advise. I don't have a lot of money to just try out different things until I fix it. Thanks.
Vbeam would be your best bet.
IPL works best for brown spots, and helps redness/broken capillaries somewhat. But for the most dramatic result for redness, ruddiness, broken capillaries, and veins, Vbeam is the ideal treatment.
Has anyone tried vbeam laser for rosacea treatment? Is it effective? How soon? What was healing like? Did you need more than one session?
Rosacea has many components.
Some people just have pimples as the main problem, this is easily and best treated with gels, creams and/or pills.
Other people have broken capillaries (red/purple lines) or diffuse redness, usually centered on the nose, and sometimes also on the cheeks and chin. This is best treated with the V-beam. It is very effective. Treatments can be done aggressively (meaning usually only 1-3 treatments necessary, but patients have bruising afterwards which can be dark and last approximately a week) or more gently (2-5 treatments necessary but very minimal bruising after each treatment).
After the bruising resolves, you will see the result. With aggressive treatments, there can be some swelling and bruising that looks like purple or blue circles over the treated areas. But usually, this heals in less that one week and can be covered with makeup.
