I got my lips augmented with Perlane, to get a full but natural look. After the injection my lips looked very distorted and unnatural. I got another filler before, and although it only lasted a month, gave me a very natural lip shape. It seems unfair after I pay so much $$$, I need to get it "dissolved" to look normal. I tried to massage the areas, but its making the swelling worse (and not changing my lip shape any) Distortion isnt what I paid so much for, I paid for perfection. What can I do?
Perlane is high concentration hyaluronic acid used for nasolabial fold correction. I would not use it for the lips personally. Juvederm works much better for the lips. Your best option may be to inject the other side to achieve symmetry. You can use juvederm since it also is hyaluronic acid.
I had Perlane injected in corners of mouth and bruising and swelling appeared inches away from injection site on bottom of chin and jowl that day and has gotten larger 2 days later. is this normal? is there anything i can do?
Bruising can occur after a Perlane or Radiesse injection. These fillers use a needle that is slightly bigger then that of Restylene. The bruising usually will migrate down due to gravity. It will however be gone in about 7 days or so. Gentle warm compresses may help.
I have recently had juvederm voluma injected into the cheek area to add volume, I am now considering perlane filler to the same area to give a little more volume as I have heard that Perlane is good for this area. My question is can I now have Perlane so soon after having Juvederm - are the 2 products contra indicated?
Yes, you can. Juverderm, Perlane, and restylene are all made from hyaluronic acid, a substance that is naturally found within your skin. The products are different in terms of size of particles and method of cross-linking. There should be no reason why these can not be used together or after one another.
