What will the surgery for an Asian Eyelid Surgery Will Feel like?

Will I feel pressure, tingling, pulling or warmth on my eyelids during the procedure? Are most Asian eyelid surgeries done while the patients are awake?

Local anesthesia gives the most accurate resluts.  There is usually no pain after the procedure and during healing.  During surgery, local anesthesia is used in the folliong manner to eliminate pain and bruising.

1 Use adequate lighting to avoid tiny blood vesels which could cause bruising

2 Use 32 g needles, the smallest diameter mad

3 Buffer the acidity of the solution with bicarb so that it stings very little if at all.

4 Use hyaluronidase in the sloution to help spread it quickly and evenly

5 Inject SLOWLY -  this in key for a painless injection

Will Dysport or Botox Have Less Facial Bruising and Swelling?

Does one (Dysport or Botox) also have a shorter overall recovery time?

Botox and Dysport have the same potential for bruising.  Tips for decreasing bruising: proper operating room type lighting, ergonomics and stability of surgeon and patient, magnification with loupes to avoid visible blood vessels, smallest needle size (32 gauge).

Tear Build Up 1 Month After Bletharplasty- Blocked Tear Duct?

I had upper and lower bletharplasty done approx 4 weeks ago. Right after procedure I noticed that tears were accumulation in the corner of my right eye. Is this a sign of blocked tear duct?

Eyelid surgery does not affect the tear drainage system. Some patients can have increased tear production due to dry eyes. I recommend using artificial tears 3 to 4 times per day and consult with an oculoplastic surgeon if your problem does not improve with time. Hope this helps.
