So far the nerves are truly the worst thing about this procedure. I am so nervous that it's killing me, but I am ready to get it over with. I really want this, not only because of the size of my breasts and the posture they give me, but the asymmetry between them. I am scheduled for 5/29 and it cannot come quickly enough. The fact that it's a week away is the greatest relief ever. I have been... more
I have always been busty. I started growing boobs when I was 11 years old. When I turned 18 years old I was already and H cup, I was 5'3 and weighed 140 pounds. I am extremely unhappy. My breasts were reduced and came out uneven and square. I had asked for my star gazing nipples (which resulted from a previous breast reduction surgery done 7 years earlier by another doctor) to be moved downward and Dr. Chong said she could do that and I would be "so happy". The change was so insignificant that I am unable to tell they were moved at all and my... more

I had my first doctor visit yesterday and already decided that I like the plastic surgeon. He took his time with me and was very nice. I was told I will have surgery in about 2 months. I need to have a mammogram first. I've never had one. I've been reading previous reviews. Thank you ladies for your reviews. It has made me more sure of my decision.

Well, what can I say? There's obviously a reason why I'm on this website (Sooo glad I found this site!), and that's because of my boobs. Boobs is like an understatement haha. I'm 18, 5'8, 153 lbs and a 32H. Yikes!
It seems weird to be writing how much I want this procedure, but I really do. I'm tired of the constant neck aches and how my back hurts by the end of the day, or the red grooves... more
I have always had very large breasts from a young age. It's hereditary. I wanted to wait until I had my children to get a reduction. I had years of neck and back pain which was the biggest reason for getting the procedure. I was always so uncomfortable, not to mention my appearance with way larger breasts in proportion to the rest of my body. I really struggled with finally deciding to... more
I was so tired of my heavy and saggy boobs. They actually made me depressed. It was difficult for me to exercise due to the weight of my boobs. I had constant skin irritation under the folds of my breast as well as grooves in my shoulders causing me shoulder pain. I had breast reduction surgery 08/11/14 and boy am I glad I did it. I waited three years to finally have the surgery. I wait this... more
I joined Real Self several months ago, but since my surgery was scheduled out so far I thought I'd wait until the month before to give my story. So here goes...
My surgery date is scheduled for October 6, 2014. Unlike a lot of ladies I wasn't overly large at an early age or after pregnancy. I was pretty much a 32c through my twenties to forties. Petite frame good figure, beautiful breasts... more
I've wanted to do this for a very long time (common theme with this procedure) but just recently received approval from insurance (Kaiser). I'm trying to be realistic about my expectations but I don't want smaller versions of what they look like now and that is my biggest fear. I've found a PS, Dr. Rajiv Iyer, that I'm very happy with (Orange County). He's been great answering all my... more
After years of back pain and intended shoulders I made the serious decision to move forward with this surgery. My insurance initial gave me the step of seeing a specialist and a physical therapy was recommended but after seeing my surgeon he said I was a clear case of a reduction. I was a 34 F (so I thought), 140 and 5'2. A month after meeting my PS it was time to rock and roll. I was beyond... more
I'm 20 years old and in college. I am currently a size 34G and I've been waiting for this surgery practically since I was 12! I think in 3rd grade I already had noticeable breasts. By freshman year in highschool I was a D cup, and they have only grown larger since then. When I was younger I took pride in having larger breasts, because I was the first to have them out of all my friends. By... more

Dr. Song was recommended to me via my breast cancer tumor surgeon. Things had moved so fast in my case that I was Ill equipped to pick or interview a plastic surgeon and everything you read in advance just evaporated from my brain. I sat in his office and he said "Are there any questions I can answer for you?" and I basically said 'This is all happening so fast, my surgery has moved up many... more
I have a little over a month before my surgery and although I'm so excited to buy regular clothes and bras, I'm nervous about all the unknowns. I'm a 34 DDD. I weigh 165 right now and I'm trying to get down to 155 before my surgery. I'm not sure this is possible anymore. I'm worried that if my belly sticks out further than my boobs I'll get depressed.
