Hi, I had my implants fitted 4 years ago,and soon after I became pregnant, I had no idea that mother nature would take effect, and I would become very broody! However I was lucky enough to produce a beautiful healthy boy,but Im left with these sagging breasts, I was very ill, so wasnt able to hold my son for a couple of weeks after, so I couldnt breast feed.Is it an uplift I would need? Thanks in advance
Thank you for your question and photographs. From your history and the accompanying photos it would appear that you would be an excellent candidate for a breast lift (mastopexy). If you had any concerns about the size of your breasts this too could be addressed at the same time. It would be possible to change your implants making them ether larger or smaller depending on your wishes.
Weight Loss - Prior to Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift I am presently at 160 lb goal weight is 135-145 roughly If I would to have procedure in FEB 2012 do you feel it is to much to lose in to short of time I was 200 lb and started weight loss in 2010 roughly Spring I did just more good days than bad and took off .25 to .50 a week sometime 0 and sometimes a 1 lb maybe 2. No real exercise just some walking here and there. I did a Very Very slow change of life in eating Thanks
Well done! You are doing everything correctly to obtain the best result with your upcoming tummy tuck and breast lift. At the rate you are going you should reach your weight goal by the time you wish to have surgery.
Several points to remember. First, you may find as you get closer to your goal weight that it gets harder to lose those last pounds. If this happens you will need to work a little harder at exercise and pay a little more attention to your nutrition. You may also consider seeing a plastic surgeon to encourage/help you to lose those last pounds. Finally, please be sure to continue your nutrition and exercise program after your surgery. After all, it would be a shame to lose everything that you have worked so hard to achieve. Good luck.
I have gone to three consults. All have different views. One said I would need a mastopexy on one breast and another doctor said its bit necessary. How do I know where to go when there is a difference in opinion? Are some doctors better at achieving a more centered areolar complex with differet techniques than others? Can the implant pocket made raise y areolar complex?
UPDATE: Photos Added
It can be confusing as a patient when you get three different opinions however, this probably means that you have a borderline situation. To determine what procedure would be best we have to determine the position of the nipple relative to the infra mammary fold. The infra mammary fold is the line that is created where the breast meets the chest wall. If your nipple is below this line and you have a breast augmentation your breast will look like a "rock in a sock.' In this situation you would require a breast lift to obtain a nice result. If the nipple is above the infra mammary crease then you would be a good candidate for a breast augmentation alone. If you are borderline (which I suspect) you could certainly go ahead and have the breast augmentation as long as you realize that you may have to undergo a breast lift later if you are not happy with the appearance.
