“My Journey to the World of...”
I was always unhappy the way my teeth looked, I have overbite, multiple gaps, already got a bridge and not to mention the root canals. I am 40 years old and I did not really want to have the train track so I got very excited when my dentist told me I could still have my teeth fixed with Invisalign. Today is my 4th day of wearing the trays. It was very hard for me to take the trays off! I... more
“Week 1: Invisalign - Hacienda...”
I wouldn't say I had a bad case but there were a couple of teeth (upper) that were pushed in pretty bad and made me self conscious about smiling to my fullest. So I opted to get my wisdom teeth pulled (which was recommended for invisalign) and started my treatment yesterday 7/18/12. I was worried at first because I had read horror stories about the pain and overall experience, but fortunately... more
“Love the Results! - Irvine, CA”
I am 25 and work with people, so getting braces was definitely not an option. My teeth were not too bad, some minor crowding and quite pronounced top canines. I wanted to get Invisalign for the longest time and when finally I had my finances all lined up, I did! After I saw my clincheck, I must admit I was quite disappointed... Mainly because I expected Invisalign to straighten ALL of the... more
“Loving It - Newport Beach, CA”
I did invisalign for a few different reasons... One being that as a kid I didn't wear those horrid cheap plastic retainers they give you after braces. Two because my friend had just completed her treatment and her teeth looked fabulous! Three because I was on a weight loss make myself look better routine and that included my teeth. I was worried that since I didn't like the plastic... more
“Invisalign Gave Me a Beautiful Smile...”
I go into more depth in the video, but my experience with Invisalign was terrific. I wanted my bottom teeth straightened out in time for my wedding. The experience was much faster than I expected (six months), easy, simple, and relatively painless - esp when you think about the ordeal of brace. more
I am almost done with my 19 sets and about to go see if i need refinements but so far i love how my teeth look. i had really crooked bottom teeth and rotated molars and all in all they look beautiful and this is way easier then braces so i recommend this to everyone. I do have to say Placing the sets in at night takes most of the first few hours of pain away. more
“Retainer Will Cost You $1,200/Year”
So I went through 18 months wearing invisalign trays and the treatment worked very well to straighten my teeth. But I was very disappointed to learn from the dentist that I would need to replace the retainer trays about every four months at a whopping cost of $400 per tray. I felt like ringing his neck. He should have informed me of this cost when I asked him to outline the costs for me before... more
“Invisalign is Great for Mild Cases -...”
I had Invisalign on for only one year and it did make a dramatic change on my teeth. I'm now a lot more confident to smile. My upper teeth was pretty much ok except for the one right front teeth kicking out too much. It was almost 70% overlap with one next to it. My lower teeth was a mess. It was crooked so bad but because it was hidden lower so ppl didn't see it more obvious than the... more
“So Far So Good, Tray 5 of 17........”
I am 38 with two teenagers, who said they would laugh at me an adult with Braces... Mom don"t do it! ... I call that Kid pressure... I am on tray 5 of 17, my only issue is my lips are constantly dry, both inside and out. Sometimes a little discomfort, but over all so far so good. Was it worth it?... hummm My treatment was completed in 9 months. I would say for the time I had to... more

“Just Got Aligners.. a Bit Nervous...”
So I just got my aligners yesterday. Total time of aligners is 24 hours now. I am a bit nervous after reading several horror stories here. First, I'm not afraid of the pain and discomfort. I have discomfort right now.. really just annoying more than anything. The most pain is coming from removing the bottom bracket! It feels like I am pulling my teeth out! The top remove just fine with... more
“Totally Worth It for Bad Crowding”
I had a bad case of teeth crowding. I had three teeth removed to make space and that was the most painful part of the whole process. When i put new trays in, it hurts for one to three days (today it is one of those days), especially when I have to put back the trays after eating. Ibuprofen really helps with the pain. Even Advil it's enough sometimes. In some cases the change was almost pain... more
“More Problems Now That Before the...”
I had traditional braces in my 20's, but was unhappy with the results so I tried Invisalign in my 40's. I was told the procedure would take 6 months followed by a retainer to be worn at night. The procedure was so problematic that it took 2 years and I am still using the retainer in my 50's. My problems could not be corrected successfully, so now I cannot close by mouth correctly. During... more
I just started them today, and I don't know how i feel about them yet! My teeth do hurt a lot, and I have a headache! What i don't like about them is that i have 9 attachments ( I didn't even think my teeth were that bad. Today when i took them out for the first time, one of the attachments came off... Is this a bad sign??? also, do you have to take them off when you have a drink too?... more
“Great Results but Glad It is Almost over”
I started with 14 uppers and 10 lowers. After this I needed 5 more uppers. I am now completing the final 90 days with the retainers to complete the bone building process. It is really important to wear each liner at least 21 hours per day without fail! If any of your liners do not fit perfectly, continue to use the previous liner(s) until you can get to your dentist to determine the cause... more
