Will a Facelift Result Be Affected by a Skeletal Defect?

Hi i have a skeletal and dental defect which are both 2mm to the left will that affect the result of a facelift?

A: Facelift and skeletal asymmetry

A facelift helps rejuvenate the lower 1/3 of the face and neck, it can improve muscle banding or excess fat in the neck,  ... but it does not usually address skeletal asymmetry or dental problems since it is basically a re-draping of the soft tissue and removal of excess skin.  No face is a mirror image on both sides, so there are always subtle asymmetries.  2mm does not sound like much, but it is best to seek advice from a plastic surgeon who can examine you.

Why Can't I Have Neck or Facelift as a Smoker?

I've had both upper and lower eye lid surgery, arm reduction and a tummy tuck. I am a smoker and am 51 years old. I've healed fine in all cases. Why can't I have a neck or facelift?

A: Facelift/smoker

Having any surgery and continuing to smoke is a bad idea.  The healing process is compromised due to constricting the blood vessels and blood supply.  The healing time will be much longer.

Will a Facelift at 50 Last Through my 60's?

Does it make a difference at which age you get a facelift in terms of how long it will last?

A: During your 50s is a great time for a facelift

This is a common question I get asked. Facelift will restore a more youthful appearance if done well, which sets back the clock. Longevity will depend on type of surgery. 50's is great time as skin still has great elasticity giving a better and more natural outcome.
