I've been wanting these implants in the youtube link above ever since they started the trial test for them. Unfortunately they didn't have any of the implant size I wanted left for me to test. I ended up getting normal saline implants. I still want the ideal implants SOOOO bad and want them to replace my normal saline implants. If they aren't available yet, does anyone know when they will become available?
Thanks for your question -
The good news is implant technology continues to improve. This means more natural feeling breasts, lower rupture risk, etc. In addition surgical techniques continue to improve (think lower risk of infection, quicker recovery, better cosmetic results).
It is important to focus on your results and your cosmetic needs.
Implants undergo a strenuous government approval process (in many ways more stringent than medications that are approved). There can be long delays in getting an implant approved for use in the United States.
I hope this helps!
I am 16 years old and I'll be 17 in a short period of time and my small breasts have been the cause of a lot of mental anguish to the point of depression over my personal self image and confidence. I'm about 5'5 and 135 with a small B-cup, honestly probably closer to an A. I was just wondering the legal limit to have breast implants WITH parental consent. They aren't completely on board yet, but it is something they've considered due to my poor confidence.
The FDA approval for silicone breast implants was for women over twenty-two. This age restriction is not based on any science, but probably was political. Your private plastic surgeon may wish to alter these age restrictions. For the companies that make the implants, they may be fined if they market, or advertise to teenagers. The FDA does fine companies for off-label marketing.
You private doctor may choose to perform off-label, off-FDA recomendations for your surgery.
DIscuss this with your parents and see if they will accompany you to a plastic surgeon for a consult.
Legally, under 18, you would mostly likely be under the age of consent for an operation such as this on your own.
Mom of 2, 5'9 180 lbs.after being on steroids for 15months I've gained 40lbs .Recently lost 15lbs .It is so hard to loose the the weight ,even with diet and excersie .I never had a stomach or love handles or even back fat.My breast droped and i don't feel good about myself at all.My inner thigh isn't tight any more.I don't expect everything to be done at the same time ,but this is my last option
Enlarging breasts by fat grafts has multiple side effects such as tissue scarring, calcification and oil cysts. the debate continues on how long the fat cells will last. It takes several sessions making for an expensive treatment and usually only increases the breast up to one cup size.
