I have huge fat pockets above both of my upper lids. One eye is more pronounced than the other(cant remember which one lol). My eyes throw my entire face off. I have big eyes and I think they have potential, but not with these fat pockets hanging around. In addition, my lower lids sag downwards a little to me. I have about one or two small wrinkles underneath both eyes as well. (Horrible pics but all I had right now lol).
From your photos you appear quite young, and I'm not certain I would suggest a blepharoplasty in your case. I agree with Dr Aldea, that your eye asymmetry is probably due to structural asymmetry of the bone of the orbit and would not be corrected by a blepharoplasty. Please understand that nobody's face is perfectly symmetrical and your face and eyes are well within the norm. In the future, as you age, you may become a candiate for a blepharoplasty, but, for now, I would not suggest eyelid surgery.
Is The REd Line Showing 6 Days Post Surgery Normal?
At 6 days post eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) the red line in your photos appear to be early, normal post operative scar formation. The scar will probably get somewhat thicker and tighter over the next few weeks and then will start to soften and fade. It will take 6 to 12 months for the scar to fade to it's long term appearance. Sunblocks (SPF 30 or higher) and topical hydrocortizone cream can help speed the scar maturation process. Check with your surgeon to see when they would suggest you start these treatments. But, be assured this redness should fade with time. Best wishes.
But today my one eye lid started to swell and went black and blue. I didn't hit it . It seems like it started off small and it appears to be getting bigger. Could a hematoma happen this long after the surgery.
I agree with my colleagues, you have probably developed a hematoma. Hematomas can happen as far out as three weeks after blepharoplasty surgery, especially if your blood pressure became elevated. This could result from lifting, straining or exercising. Avoid strenuous activities, elevate your head, apply a cold compress and follow up with your surgeon as soon as possible.
