I'm 18, 5'1", 112 lbs. I'm naturally a B cup and I'm considering saline breast implants to become a D cup. Should I go for under or over the muscle and would it cause the chances of the implant to rupture more one way?
As an 18 year old, your breast implant choice is limited to saline. Those are the rules based on the FDA approving breast implants. At 22 years of age, one can chose between saline and silicone. Saline implants don't look or feel very good on top of the muscle. They often show ripples and wrinkles. I strongly recommend submuscular implants for you.
I'm 27 years old, 5'11 and weigh 133lbs. I have small 34B cups currently (although I'm always surprised I wear B cup bras as they seem more like As to me). I am thinking of going for high profile gel implants, 400cc on one side and 425cc on the other to improve symmetry. What cup size would I be after this?
Since bra cup sizes are not scientific measurements and vary between manufacturers, it is difficult to say what cup size you will be following a breast augmentation with a 400/425cc implant. However, I would estimate your final size to be between a large C or small D cup. One of the best ways to determine your eventual size is to try the implants on in a bra. This will allow you to not only try on different sizes but also the different shaped implants as well. Best of luck.
I was under the impression that you can only get saline implants that are different sizes, with one being filled more than the other. Can you do the same with silicone? I have one breast smaller than the other and want to achieve better symmetry. I think I want silicone implants but can I have one bigger than the other?
If breasts are asymmetic, breast augmentation can be performed with with different sized implants in each breast to help achieve symmetry. Since silicone filled implants only come in certain sizes, there is a limit to the amount of variablity between the implants. However, saline implants not only come in varying sizes, but also, can be filled at the time of surgey to different volumes. This makes correcting breast asymmetries a little easier with saline than with silicone implants. I would suggest you try on the various sizes, prior to your sugery, to help determine how big the volume difference is between your breasts. This will help your surgeon choose an appropriate size implant for each breast. Best wishes.
