Why aren't there much doctors who do Zerona laser surgery? Is there a danger to liver or gall bladder in the elimination of fat?
Zerona does reduce fat a little bit but the improvements tend to disappear in a few months if patients don't keep exercising and dieting alot since it does not permanently get rid of fat cells. Tumescent liposuction under local anesthesia with the micro canulas is still by far the best method of seriously getting rid of fat cells for good. Sincerely,

I lost 45 lbs and was told I needed to loose more weight becuz body contouring would not help me (my stomach area) becuz my fat is viseral fat?. I now weigh 170 and have been struggling to loose 10 more pds. (My ideal weight). I'm I a candidate for Zerona?
Dear Hot in Texas,
If you have been convinced that Zerona works on any fat (the laser pointer light is unable to penetrate through skin to "cause holes in fat cells"), then I guess you can be convinced by physicians who speak in terms of "activating biochemical changes in fat cells" that it would work on viseral fat. In addition, if you wish to spend your hard earned money, go ahead, and then please let us know how it went. If you are like the great majority of patients who have tried this technology then you will be among the 70% who are unhappy. Good luck and be well. Don't forget to drink the dietary supplement Curva.

I am wondering because one of the big reasons I would not consider liposuction for the 25lbs I can't seem to lose is that I don't want to alter my body's shape, and I know if you remove fat cells I could potentially gain weight differently in the future and possibly in a shape that is not as appealing. If you use the Zerona treatment and gain the weight back in the future, does everything come back just like before? Or do you alter those fat cells some how?
Hi Cane JB,
I have not used Zerona on my patients because of it's very low patient satisfaction rate, the poor and unreliable science behind it, and the fact that many of the original "luminaries" who were given the device originally to use on their patients have shared with me their unsuccessful experiences. I doubt that there will be an effect of relocation of fat as it has yet to be shown scientifically that Zerona affects fat for a period longer that 4 weeks. Good luck and be well.
