About a year ago I started to notice sagging around my jaw line and the skin on my neck becoming slack. After debating for 6 months -- and despite some of the cautionary stories I'd read on Real Self -- I decided to try Ultherapy (mid face and neck). My biggest concern was the pain, which turned out to be much more manageable than expected. The nurse offered -- and I accepted -- both... more
This was insanely painful- as i matter of fact i cried! They gave me 2 vicadin and still it hurt like mad. the device is applied directly to your skin and it shoots heat deep beyond the outer layers and yes, you feel it. i don't know if there's a way to bunk this, wish i was asleep that's for sure!
I am thinking it was worth it. One month in and i see a difference. so does my man. We'll see... more
I had heard a lot about this treatment and was anxious to try it. I fled see comfortable with the consultation I decided to do it that day. The treatment took about and hour and a half. I had my lower face done I had no down time. Went right back to work and have to say I look great!! Even my husband noticed . I would recommend this procedure and Dr mirabile to anyone more
I have gotten Ultherapy previously, when it first came out (and it's changed since then). There are more heads you can use and overall, the techniques have been improved.
Three years ago I noticed some results, but the girl who gave me the procedure was a nurse (not a Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist), and it was so new, she had limited experience delivering the procedure, and thus, (even... more
L have visited more than one plastic surgeon in LA and BH and I am here to tell you that Dr. Marcus in Redondo tops them all! I came in seeking something to tone and tighten the skin on my face & neck and not quite in need of a face lift yet. Ultherapy was the perfect solution and I am thrilled with the results. It's not a radical change, and I look natural …but it's for sure a "better"... more
I'm 42 and my skin looks great (according to others). I've been told I could pass for early 30's (I take care of my skin! Retin-A, Vitamin C, Glycolic, sunscreen). That being said I have started noticing the natural "sag" in my face (and starting to get the round jowly look that runs in my family). Decided to try Ultherapy today (and was scared after reading reviews on here). 2 hours post-... more
I came to this board prior to having this procedure done and since I found it so helpful in making my decision and knowing what to expect, I promised myself to help others' with my own review once I had my own experience with Ulthera. Well, it has been 6 weeks since I had my entire face and upper neck done and when I first left, I was sort of "meh" but had been told not to expect much when I... more
Dr. Rahimi was referral to me by my Kaiser Permanente Dermatologist regarding poor
chin lipo where the Dr. (David Amron) removed too much fat under the right side of my chin which caused a pronounced platysmal band and lopsidedness to the right side of my face. Ugh! I really hated my right profile side view and whenever I was face forward the platysmal band was very pronounced. I... more
I had the Ultherapy procedure in October 2012. Personally I found it to be painless, but I was medicated and I have heard that others might feel some discomfort. My skin appeared tighter immediately after the procedure and has continued to improve. In my line of business I see clients once every few months and it nearly everyone who has come into my office since October comments on how good I... more
Well, it finally happened!! After about 2 years I've found the Doctor! I went to several places including WAVE!! Dr. Honrado took his time and explain the process. I did not feel rushed at all!! He's down to earth not pushy and not put off when you tell him you can't afford something. He'll help you to find an acceptable alternative (only if you want it)!! just flat out really like the guy!!... more
I had Ulthera done in May of 2012. I paid $2000, which was the cheapest I could find. I waited six months, hoping to see some results, but when I saw none, I asked the doctor to re-do it for no additional charge. It took several phone calls to his office, (guess they were just hoping I would go away) but they finally agreed. When I arrived I was told that the Ulthera treatment protocal had... more
I had Ultherapy at Garth Fisher's office 6 months ago and I couldn't be happier with my results. I am 44 years old and I was experiencing some sagging in my jaw area and eyelid area. I did a full face Ultherapy in May. I knew it had worked because I wasn't starring at the mirror looking at the marrionette lines and sagging jawline anymore. When I saw my "before and afters", well, I was just... more
I had Ulthera in October. I chose this procedure after LOTS of research and actually based heavily on the great reviews here because unlike Thermage, NOBODY who reviewed it said it didn't work for them. Well, I'm here to say...it DID NOT WORK!! Not that the results are "mild" or "subtle"...No. The "results" are non-existent!
I had the procedure, came in for all the photos and check-ups... more
I'm 36 years old and I tend to invest a lot on myself.
After I got the treatment done which was painful even with pain medicine that was given to me before the treatment but compared to Thermage, it was endurable. And there were some swelling which lasted for few days. There were also some discomfort during the treatment but with the results that I notice on myself, it surely was worth... more
I had Ulthera done yesterday on cheek area after have Restylane dissolved there and wanting to build collagen (cheek deflated after hyaluronidase). I know it has been only one day out, but I can definitely see a difference there. The doctor did several passes over the problem area. It did hurt. I took half a Vicodin, and managed through. The doctor talked to me the entire time, which helped... more
I had lower face Ultherapy done yesterday. As everyone says, it really does hurt through part of it, other parts not as much. Given the way people describe the pain even when fully medicated, I don't really think the pain meds do a lot to get rid of the pain. I needed to drive myself so I took 800 mg of Ibuprofen. In some places it REALLY hurt but I was able to make it through without crying... more
I decided to do Ultherapy due to the overwhelming response here and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I actually had the procedure done on my lower eye area. I have been fighting under eye hollowness and dark circles for as long as I can remember and so it was recommended to me that I try it out. I actually did two treatments in the under eye area about a month apart. They warned me... more
I am a 49 year old man who is holding up pretty well. Very active, work out, eat right, bla, bla, bla. But my face was starting to slide and sag a bit. Ulthera appeared to be just the all in one solution I could handle. I tried fillers and botox. Having to return every few months for more painful shots was not working for me. (Let me mention that I bruised terribly from restylane) I was a bit... more
I just turned 60, and I felt that soon I would need another facelift, but wanted to wait a couple more years. (this one was 12 years ago). Ultherapy has fixed my sagging jaw and neck unbelievably. And those lines on my chest that I get from sleeping on my side have disappeared! I liked that the procedure was below the surface so absolutely no down time was required.
My face and neck really... more
Just turned 55, not overweight but getting pronounced sag around my jawline and neck and thought I'd have a little "maintenance" done. I had Thermage 5 years ago with little gain that involved a lot of pain. With Thermage, they were very cautious not to make any guarantee that you would get good results, but Ulthera got glowing reviews all around and they're saying that the... more
