Dr. Guy Massy is an exemplary surgeon. When I decided to undergo this procedure, I researched doctors online and then sought the opinions of others who had had procedures done on their eyes. One valued opinion recommended Dr. Massry. After reviewing other experiences and reading through his online material, I scheduled a consultation with him. During the consultation, I explained what I saw as the problem and why that mattered to me. He was very empathetic and, as someone who sees many actors, he understood how this might be more of a sensitive issue to me. He listened attentively to my concerns and alleviated my fears. He went over a few possible approaches to correct my issue, but at no time did he attempt to recommend additional or more extreme procedures. He answered my questions about the repercussions of the alternatives and made me comfortable in my decision. He took the time to not only talk with me about the procedure and my motivation, but he also wanted to know me as a person and vice versa. Nothing too invasive or time consuming, but enough to help me feel a connection and a sense that this was an experience that we were going though together. This was such a critical thing for my surgery, since I was awake for the whole thing. As I mentioned earlier, awareness of what's happening heightens your fear/tension in the operating room. While you eyes are closed, you sense light, hear voices and feel your eyes being worked on. Your body has a tendency to tense up, even though you know you need to relax to allow the doctor to do the job most effectively. Because of all these variables, trust in your doctor is imperative. Everything that Dr. Massry did before I got wheeled into the OR instilled a faith in his skills and trust that he would not let anything go wrong. I had my surgery in the morning and he personally called me later that evening to check on me. When I had questions and called his office, he promptly returned my calls, listened, answered and assured me things were going as expected. He did this without making me feel like someone overreacting to nothing. From the first day I met him, Dr. Massry has struck me as a good person, a great communicator and a highly skilled and respected surgeon. These are some of his greatest assets and the reasons that I will recommend him to anyone who asks for my opinion.

Eyelid Surgery
I thought I had done my research having a 'facial' plastic surgeon, instead of one who did body work as well, do my intitial surgery. However, I cannot stress enough the importance of having an Oculoplastic Surgeon like Dr. Massry perform any eye surgery. I reached out to many oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeons, searching the internet everyday for answers to help me thru this nightmare. It was Dr. Massry who responded with genuine concern, giving me not only the emotional support and hope I needed, but also his knowledge and expertise. After several months I was able to fly the many miles to see Dr. Massry and although mine is a complex surgical repair there is much they are doing with fillers and I have found much of myself again. The main reason I am writing is to tell anyone who may be experiencing this devastation, to get in touch with Dr. Massry. It is understandable to feel afraid and insecure regarding making another doctor mistake. However, Dr. Massry is not only highly respected by his peers across the country, doing lectures and writing books, but is one of the most dedicated and kindest men I have ever met. Trust me on this, seeing Dr. Massry is the best decision you can make. I made it my personal job to research and reach out until I found the best....I did!

He was recommended by my family doctor. From the moment you walk in the office the warmth of this staff is amazying. Dr. Masery is a warm and friendy person who puts you mind at ease and does a tremendous job. My eyes look natural and beautiful!

I was referred to Dr. Massry by my Dermatologist, Dr. Rebecca Fitzgerald. Dr. Massry and his staff (Anna his assistant) are wonderful. I had upper eye-lid surgery in August 2012 by Dr. Massry and really must recommend him. He's very skilled, has a real"eye" (no pun intended!) for how to do the surgery with natural results. I'm so happy with my results. Also, when I went to my Internist for the pre-op physical, when he asked who my eye dr. was for the procedure, I told him "Dr. Massry". My Internist replied "excellent, excellent surgeon from what I've heard". Thank you, Dr M and Anna!

God brought me in. He is amazingly talented and energetically dedicated. I found him to be very positive and honest at the same time. He radiates competence and I felt confident with him and his support staff through every step. God works through Dr. Massry to correct past mistakes of other plastic surgeons to a remarkable if not miraculous degree. Thank you so much Dr. Massry for doing what you do. And thank God for leading me to him.

I was referred to Dr. Massry by the plastic surgeon who had created the malposition of my eye. I can only say that living in Beverly Hills, I have the option of choosing a multitude of plastic surgeons. I was so fortunate to be referred to Dr. Massry. My highest recommendation both as a talented professional and a caring individual. I cannot praise Dr. Massry enough. He is a true artist and produced the most wonderful results given the difficulty and challenge of my condition. From the first visit, I sensed both his knowledge as a professional and his warmth and caring as an individual. His office staff is friendly and helpful. I am truly fortunate to have found Dr. Massry and I could not envision another physician to be more talented and caring than he is.

Eyelid Surgery
I did lots of research, and realized he worked on some very complicated cases. He understands art and beauty, and teaches on the subject at seminars where other occuloplastic doctors attend to learn his techniques. Dr. Massry has changed my life and brought me back to where I am confident again! I can not tell you how grateful I am. Dr. Massry fixed it all. I am not saying it is cheap...I certainly paid. But, you get what you pay for and he is the real deal. I wish I went to him to begin with and then I would never have had to deal with this mess, but I did and I am a thankful I found someone who was able to fix this mess. I feel pretty again! Also, his assistant Anna was so wonderful. When I went in there, I started crying when I was telling my story. I saw the tears in her eyes and she had to get up and leave. I must say that seeing her response made me feel as if she and Dr. Massry really wanted to help me. THAT is what a good doctor is, folks! For those looking for revisions or even a first time Bleph, he is your man. Please take me seriously, don't mess with this. Go to someone good.

I would highly recommend using Guy Massry for any of his specialized procedures. He and his amazing staff restored a lot of my lost faith in the technical abilities and professional etiquette of the medical industry. Guy Massry exudes professionalism by communicating clearly. From the moment you go in for an evaluation, you will find a conversation of all the surgical issues beyond easy and therefore making the patient feel at ease. What a kind, relaxed atmosphere to have all of your concerns about the procedures met with direct answers and thorough explanations. It is rare to find a practitioner who cares so deeply about the work he produces as an artist AS WELL AS making the patient, at all times, feel respected, comfortable and understood. He more than understands that procedures involving alterations on the appearance of the face you show the world is a daring and often frightening process. I never felt alone in this while in his office. Not to mention I appreciate how fast they always got me in and out of his office, SO efficient! His staff is also awesome. Clear billing and scheduling. Kind and understanding Anna makes the paperwork and waiting periods between visits a breeze. Completely unlike the gamble of last minute rescheduling and bizarre, misleading billing I received from other surgeon’s offices. He is in the very top of his field for more reasons than just his technical gifts as an artist of facial tissues. My healing after surgery is going beautifully, I’m ecstatic with his work, and would trust him all over again.

Eyelid Surgery
I didn't like the appearance of dark circles and hollow sunken eyes. Dr. Massry is very skillful, and genuinely concerned with the satisfaction of his patients. If you are considering having an eye procedure, I highly recommend Dr. Guy G. Massry, MD!!!
