I am 34 year old female. I have many lipomas in my arms and legs. On one leg I have about five along my illital band from hip to top of knee. I have been training for a half marathon and that hip has been my source for PT. You can feel the lipoma on my hip(bursa) area. I have already had a large benign lipoma removed from my leg and arm. How can I get these removed without tons of scaring? I was willing to ignore them but I don't want to be limited in my physical activities by pain.
Very small lipomata can be removed as described through a "punch biopsy" size hole as they can be expressed through it with pressure. However, larger ones require local anesthesis in the operating room. A smaller incision (than the size of the lesion) can still be made and heal with nice cosmetic results in these larger lesions.

Removal of a facial lipoma can put the facial nerve at risk. However, this depends on the location and relation to the anatomy. Please see a board certified facial plastic surgeon who is familiar with facial anatomy for the best results. (S)he will use a nerve monitor to monitor the facial nerve during surgery.
I had a lipoma surgery on my left side neck last week, after the surgery doctor told me that he could not remove the lipoma wholly rather he has removed some in pieces and there is still some left. Now I am concern about the left over part of lipoma that what will be effects of this left over
The anatomy in the neck is delicate. Your surgeon may have felt that it was safer to piecemeal the lipoma out with remnants that as one piece. If it is a lipoma, is likely to recur but it will take time to do so and will be gradual.
