Safe to Get Lipodissolve While Pregnant?

I'm in my first trimester and I wanted to get Lipodissolve to slim down my thighs. Is this OK to do? Is it safe to have Lipodissolve if you're pregnant?

A: Avoid non FDA approved medications

You should avoid non FDA approved medications such as Lipodissolve. This is not a well-studied product. There are currently some research projects being performed by The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery to further evaluate medications used for Mesotherapy. For now, you should avoid it.

Safe to Get Lipodissolve While Pregnant?

A: Wait until after pregnancy for any procedure

First, I would not use any substance that might cause any harm during pregnancy. The other important factor is, why would you try to have any procedure during pregancy? As you well know, you will gain some weight during this time. I would wait after delivery and losing all the weight for any future procedures.

When is a Good Time to Get Lipodissolve?

i am trying to get the differences btw lipo suction and lipo dissolve. is there something I should be aware of that makes one procedure than the other? I'm 150lbs, 45 y.o, and want to get rid of my banana roll.

A: Controversial topic

This is a great question that will create a lot of different opinions. LipoDissolve is a procedure where a chemical substance is injected into fat pockets that could lead to dissolving them.

These are few observation regarding this controversial topic:

1-It is not FDA approved (most board cetified plastic surgeons will not perfom it)

2-Most patients that i have seen so far were not very happy with lipodissolve due to the slim results and the need for multiple injections.

3-It works on very small areas with very small fat pockets( when liposuction is not indicated) I can see some indications for localised areas like the chin.

4-Liposuction has better control on larger areas( all types of lipo included)

5-Like all procedures the key is the user but there is always a limitation for any modality we use.

For your specific need i see clearly that liposuction will give you a better result on the long term. Hope that help!
