Worth It for Me - Los Angeles, CA

I can not say enough good things about Dr. P and his entire office staff. He is a kind, professional, and caring physician. I would recommend him to my mother, my best friend, and my own daughter (and I'm hoping she doesn't need him). He went above and beyond to make me comfortable, to spend time, and to follow-up with me. Truly remarkable and exceptional.
Saved my Nose - Encino, CA

Dr. Stein's bedside manner to that point had been brisk, dismissive, and heavy on the fear factor. I glumly asked the cost, and for details as to why, and what he planned on doing. His price to bring in what he called, “a crack team of Beverly Hills specialists” steadily increased from $4500 in the beginning, to $6000 by the end of our conversation. When I pressed for further details he briskly told me that after he received full payment he would schedule a pre-op appointment where all my questions would be answered. He curtly ended the consultation and suggested that I have payment either in cash or check by Monday in order to insure the proper healing of my nose. He then requested $100 for that day’s consultation. Luckily his bedside manner had been so horrendous that I left unsatisfied and eager to acquire a second opinion. One of my friends suggested Dr. P. Words cannot really express sufficiently my gratitude and appreciation for all that Dr. P has done. I have been saved from unnecessary and expensive surgery, and treated not only competently but with patience and kindness. It is rare in this day and age to find competent care, let alone a doctor that takes that extra time to assure you and explain things to you. I wanted to share my story not only as a warning but to recommend with extreme gratitude and appreciation Dr. P

I met Dr. Sunder at Ruth Swissa ... and later had a consult with her for mini-face/ laser/ etc. When I was ready for the procedures, I called to find out that she had just had a baby and was on maternity leave :). I then researched her colleague/ partner, Dr. Michael Persky. I was hesitant at first, b/c I was totally sold on Dr. Sunder. But after researching Dr. Persky and watching his videos on www.drpersky.com , I could just feel that he had that same warm, caring, kind, authentic and very knowledgable energy and expertise. I am so glad that I got to meet Dr. Persky, and again, totally trust both him and Dr. Sunder and wouldn't think of going to anyone else at this point.

I had Restylane injected successfully in my tear trough and near my temples with Dr. Persky.I've had a few Restylane treatments from several reputable doctors in Beverly Hills but I consistently experienced lumps. He is honest and has a very soothing personality.

Dr. Persky is a caring doctor, very professional, and he takes pride in his work. He explained everything in detail, was patient and even apologetic when I cringed in pain. He's a very warm person and I felt comfortable from the start. Everyone on the staff is extremely nice, and I feel that I'm in good hands there (literally).
Finally a Dcotor who Truley Cares - Encino, CA
I went for a FREE consultation with Dr. Persky for him to "fix" a botched filler job that another doctor messed up on and he was SO KIND and sympathetic and understanding. I went to see like 4 other doctors because of my traumatic experience and all the other doctors seemed so elusive and cold. He made me feel really comfortable and cared for and UNDERSTOOD(he had human compassion). Because of my traumatic experience, I've been skeptical of doctors touching my face again so getting as many consultations as possible but so far he has been the kindest and really seems to care so I will be making the appoinment with him. I just feel that there aren't as many doctors who truly care anymore... it's become all about the money so it's so refreshing to find a doctor like him. oh and he wasn't trying to make money off me, he was really just trying to help me so was being very conservative and i trust he truly wants to help me and is passionate about helping people look and feel good! thank you doctor persky for actually caring about people!

From my initial phone call to the day of my treatment everyone in Dr. P's office has been nothing but kind, considerate and supportive. I went to see Dr. P to discuss Coolscuplting by Zeltiq. Dr. P's warm bedside manner put any apprehensions I was feeling at ease. He was not rushed in our consultation, taking time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. We discussed every aspect of the procedure in depth. We talked about fat cell shedding, blood chemistry, liver function and bowel function. Like most people I always get second opinion. I saw another doctor but the difference between that doctor and Dr. P was night and day. The other doctor was cold, reserved and distant. Dr. P did not point out any faults in me. He only listened to the areas that I expressed concern in. The other doctor pointed out areas that I had no problems with. The key difference in the diagnosis was the size of the hand piece to be used; one large and small area versus multiple small and medium areas. When I left the other doctors office I felt worse then when I walked in. I thought over what the other doctor had said and contacted Dr. P's office to get another consultation. Again, Dr. P listened to my new concerns and stated that his diagnosis remained the same. I felt reassured and knew that Dr. P was the one who should do the procedure for me. Additionally, Dr. P generously agreed to do the procedure at a discounted rate! I will recommend Dr. P to everyone who is interested in Zeltiq. Dr. P cares about his patient’s well being. What more could you ask for? Thank you so much Dr. P!

The recent issue of Allure Magazine discusses the 11 most overrated cosmetic procedures. As the title would indicate, we don’t perform most of these procedures, we perform some of these, but definitely have our opinions on all of them. So here we go: 1. Foot Lifts…this can vary from surgical intervention to make feet fit better into pointy shoes, shortening of a long second toe, and even lipo for a little toe that is too fat! The treatment that we are most asked about is...
Tell Me Santa, What is it that Bothers You About Your Appearance?
The plastic surgery and aesthetic internet chat site RealSelf has asked me to comment on what I, as a facial plastic surgeon, would do if Santa Claus were to show up at our office for a consultation. I have been so honored because “…Your sense of humor shines in some of your RealSelf.com answers so we thought you’d be a great commentator for this.” First of all, who in their right mind would change anything about Santa Claus? …well, perhaps a few reality show...
What’s New in Aesthetics? The Summit in Aesthetic Medicine 2011
“I thought I saw an eye doctor on an Alaskan island, but it turned out to be an optical Aleutian” St. Regis Monarch Bay, Dana Point, CA The take home message of the first annual Summit in Aesthetic Medicine at the St. Regis Monarch Beach was that cosmetic patients deserve natural, un-operated upon rejuvenating aesthetic results, independent of whether surgical or non-invasive techniques are employed. My personal philosophy is offer our patients safe and clinically...
Cosmetic Procedures Rebound” Reports Wall Street Journal | Plastic surgery procedures
We are often asked, “So how is the plastic surgery business?”. Stephanie Gleason, in her statistically packed April 5, 2011 Wall Street Journal article gave her answer to the question. She begins, “More than 1.6 million Americans underwent the knife for beauty in 2010.” Plastic surgery procedures were up 9% from 2009. Not surprisingly, the increase of plastic surgery procedures is an excellent tracker of the reviving economy. A 2009 Cleveland Clinic study showed a distinct...
Celebrity Plastic Surgery Regrets...Less is More
I am often asked, "Doc, do celebrities get better plastic surgery because they can afford to pay more?" I usually give a two word answer, "Michael Jackson." Cost is not necessarily a guarantee of excellence. Conversely, paying less for surgery, fillers, Botox, or laser rejuvenation can result in poor results. "Why do so many people who have their lips done (or Botox, or face lifts, or whatever) look so unnatural and funny?" is other commonly discussed question. Well, many of them...
