How Can I Expect To Have Funny Speech After Chin Lipo? 10 Days Out Now.

Im 10 days out from smart lipo on my chin and neck. I have a little tightness, but my issue is I have a hard time enunciating my words and when smiling/laughing the nerves around my mouth make it impossible to speak without looking very odd. Spitting is difficult, but I have full sensation and a full smile. My only concern is speaking, it is similar to after I've been to the dentist with novacaine. How long should I expect this to last and is there anything I can do to speed up the process?

A: OK I will bite.

JD

It is not normal to have a speech issue 10 days out from a chin liposuction.  I strongly recommend that you see your surgeon to make them aware of your concerns.  It is possible to have a motor nerve injury after a chin liposuction.  These may or may not fully recover.  There are some very specific signs that there is a nerve injury.  At only 10 days out, it will be difficult to know if such an injury is temporary or permanent.   However, without that examination, it is possible that what you are describing is something other than a motor nerve injury.  Good luck and consider posting photographs.

Chin Liposuction Recovery

Is there a way to have minor liposuction on my chin with a fast recovery time?  I'm a busy guy, so I don't have time to hand around waiting for a cosmetic procedure to heal, so if there is a way to recover faster than average that would be best.

A: Chin liposuction recovery

The reality is that there's not magic bullet when it comes to healing after liposuction.  If you want to get good results then you need to do an adequate procedure which calls for some healing.  However, healing after chin liposuction isn't particularly rough.  You'll be looking and about 4 to 5 days of fullness and tenderness.  It is possible to have some bruising which would be the most noticeable sign of having had a the procedure performed.  You're fine to going out in about 5 days.  Have it done on Thursday or Friday and go to work on Monday or Tuesday.

You can take Arnica Montana before and after the procedure and eat Kiwi a few times a day after helps.

What you will have to wait on is the final result.  About a week after the procedure you may only see a mild improvement.  What you'll find is that with each passing week your chin and neck looks better and better.  It's a great evolution.

Best of luck

Is Chin Liposuction the Solution for Me? (photo)

I am a 24 year old male. 5'9" and 138 pounds. I'm really skinny, but my jawline is not defined at all and I have a small double chin as well. It's really bothering me. I'd like to have a defined and chiseled jawline I usually hold my head a little pushed forward to hide it but I'm assuming that's not so good for my neck either. I tried doing different kinds of neck- and jaw exercises but they didn't work. Can a chin liposuction be the solution?

A: Have to agree that chin liposuction will not accomplish what you need.

Aaron

EIther a chin implant or alternatively augmentation with a sufficient volume of hyaluronic acid filler Perlane will help improve the chin profile and provide better balance for your face.
