Hi. Since having my eyebrows threaded some time ago and been asked to pull the skin taut while she was doing it, I have noticed that some purple/blue veins have appeared above my eyelids immediately after and have not disappeared.
Is there any way to have these removed as they were not there before the threading?
Thanks,
Sandra

Without seeing you face to face it would be difficult to say with any certainty what your treatment options may be. If the vessels are small and close to brow but not on the lid itself, you may be a candidate for a laser treatment for vessels such as Nd:YAG or KTP. These lasers are very effective at reducing unsightly vessels with little to no discomfort and downtime. For any vessels, but especially on the face, it is best to consult someone with a great deal of experience in using lasers for this particular issue.
Good luck~

My skin is very fair and I am in my late 30s. I tried IPL spot treatments (at a medspa chain) but they did not seem to do anything. I'm not sure if it's because the technician used the wrong setting or if my skin is just stubborn and needs a stronger laser. I would like to avoid a lot of downtime if possible. Thank you!
Greetings~
There are many options for the treatment of the small, visible blood vessels and capillaries on the face so don't give up yet. IPL is a common treatment because it can be performed by almost anyone because it is not considered a laser. (Just because it is not laser doesn't mean it can't be harmful in the wrong hands) In our office we utilize a multitude of different wavelengths and types of laser treatments including KTP, Pulsed Dye and Nd:YAG, as well as IPL treatments. The key to success with vessels on the face or body is experience. There are many variables and a wide variety of treatment parameters that can customize the treatment to specific patients. Seek out an office and provider that has had a great deal of experience with these treatments and can review your options with you after looking at your skin and what you would like to address. Don't give up hope!
Good luck~
I have varicose veins since 15 (I'm 18 now) and my legs have been only getting worse even if i started exercising and eating well. My legs have greenish patterns ,specially on my thighs and near the feet, some veins are bigger some are smaller, but what treatment would be better for longer term? I heard sclerotherapy that it is not permanent and they might come back, what about vein stripping, would I have later problems with the deep veins instead?
It all depends on the size of the veins nd location. The firther from the heart the less wll thay may do. Small veins less than 2mm wil doe well with laser or maybe even better with Asclera injections. Larger veins need to be stripped but, this leave visible scars. Not a good choice at your age
