I am 6'1 185 w/ disproportionate fat in my abdomen.I am having a hard time figuring out the best lipo technique for me – on criteria of medical safety, aesthetic results (no lumps), and least long-term swelling. Some docs advocate techniques that others put down (vaser, ultrasonic). Also, I had a bad reaction to lidocaine (in EMLA) used on my back in laser hair removal (was light headed, dizzy). Will this pose an issue for me w/ tumescent solution? I am not allergic. I was fine when less was used
The fact of the matter is that one can get great results with pretty much all three of the most popular technologies (PALS, Vaser,Laser) and one can get mediocre or terrible results with them as well. The key is the surgeon. If a physician is hiding behind a piece of technology, get another opinion! Good luck!
I can't afford both and don't know which one I should try. I've had one in person consultation and he suggested lipo & tt but I don't know if he's just trying to do more to make more. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!!!
From the looks of your pictures getting liposuction of your flanks/hip rolls will give you significant improvement. Liposuction of your abdomen may lead to some improvement but may also lead to some skin sag depending upon your elasticity. If you go with lipo only you haven't burned any bridges and can always have the tummy tuck.Hope this helps! Good luck!
Recently, I've learned of mini-lipo. Is it REALLY less invasive and quite common for the person to be able to drive home after w/ faster recovery a majority of the time? I could only find a couple drs in the midwest area who do it and all do it in a hospital o.r. I didn't want to keep paying for consults if untrue. Also, what is the average price range? Thanks.
It has been my experience that any procedure billed as "mini" delivers mini-results but not at a mini price! Save your money and get opinions from at least two board certified Plastic surgeons! Good luck!
