I'm 5' 6.5" and 178lbs. I'm 24 years old and considering getting fat injection to my breasts. I currently a cup B; however, I want it to be make my breasts fuller or bigger as cup C. I prefer this method to the implant because it's more natural. I wonder if there will be any risks or side effect. Am I a good candidate for this procedure? What is the method of getting fat out of my body? Is this procedure widely used? Thank you!!
The quick answer is that no one knows for sure. Some studies have shown that it does not interfere with routine standard mammograms to detect breast cancer but some studies have not. It is too soon for a definitive conclusion. Hopefully over the next few years, with further studies and research, the answer will become clearer.
One year ago I had fat transfer to my face and my lips. On the lower lip there was always a small bulge just below the lip line, but it wasn't noticeable. About 2 months ago I developed a large hard lump in my lower lip. There are a couple of very small hard places in my upper lip, however they do not show. THe one on my lower lip is very noticeable and looks like a bee sting or like I have been hit. What is the best resolution for this problem
This lump could be caused from either infection, scar tissue or the injected fat itself. If you are experiencing pain or tenderness in this area you should see your injecting surgeon immediately. If you do not have pain and/or tenderness, I would still recommend seeing your injecting surgeon for possible steroid injections to the lump.
I am just about a month out of a horrible lower fat transfer to my lower eyes that has left my right eye lumpy and bumpy, and my left eye still hollow in the outside but most disturbing, under the eye is still stained with a reddish purple ring giving me raccoon eye (which is why I had the FT to begin with!).
30 days later.. is this hemosiderin? is it still bruising? is it hyperpigmentation? My plastic surgeon has me on hydroquinone but I wonder if a pulse dye laser can help this?
Hi Rockdude. To determine the best course of action, we would need to see you in person. The reason is that it is hard to tell from the photo whether the issue is more pigmentation or a vascular (healing) response.
Ultimately, the q-switched Nd:Yg laser is excellent for pigmented issues and the Cynosure V-Star is great for vascular issues. It's likely we would use one of those two. Finally, we normally wait more than one month to take on a case like yours. If it has been less than 6 months since surgery, we require that your surgeon consent to laser treatments.
