I work out at the gym almost daily for about 2 hours. I do a lot of different exercises and use the gym equipment. Some of the machines really work your butt out.
Would I be able to continue working out as hard as I do after the butt lift has healed? Or would this cause any problems with the butt lift? Would it make my butt have contour abnormalities eventually?
Keep up the good work. Exercise will not affect the results of your Butt Lift. If anything it will enhance the results. Now you will have increase muscle volume and tone. The best butt exercise is sprinting or climbing stairs. The use of the fast twitch muscles(gluteus maximus) through sprinting is very effective in increasing the size, shape and power of this rarely used muscle. Power on.
I recently lost 100lbs and even though I have hips, my butt kind of deflates and sinks in. I was interested in getting a Brazilian Butt Lift, but two plastic surgeons have said to do a Butt Lift (even though I don't have much sagging), and they can overlay the fat on my hips on top of fat in order to not get flat buttocks. Does this sound right or should I pursue the Brazilian Butt Lift?
After 100 lbs weight loss you most likely have very inelastic buttock skin as well as poor buttock volume. The Brazilian Butt Lift is a term that denotes the use of both implants and fat transfers for buttock reshaping. Don't get fixated on the terminology but focus on the result you want and the experience of your surgeon. Sometimes after massive weight loss there may be redundant circumferential abdominal and flank skin requiring treatment. That excessive soft tissue may be a good source of fat that can be used in the transfer to the buttock. Aggressive liposuction of the torso including the abdomen, flanks, back, posterior and laterial thighs would most likely be the first step followed by aggressive transfer of fat to the buttock. Notice the term aggressive. In order to get the result you want your body and your butt will have to be sculpted. Whether its a Brazilian Butt Lift or an old fashion American Butt Lift you should get a good result. This is a fun and wonderful procedure for you and congradulations on your successful weight loss. The greatest difficulty is keeping it off. Good Luck.
Hi, I'm a young male in my early twenties and I am seriously considering surgery for my posterior. The problem is, I'm not exactly sure of what I need done. I was an overweight teen (about 5'3" 200lbs).
I lost a lot of the weight too quickly and now have loose skin. I'm 6'0" 150lbs now and my only problem is this sagging skin on my backside. It's nothing drastic but it is noticeable. I've read a bit about lower buttock lifts but there isn't a ton of info. on it. Is this the procedure best suited for my needs?
Buttock ptosis after massive weight loss is quite a challenge. There is a tremendous amount of volume loss and poor elasticity of the skin. The proper treatment will replace both aspects that have been lost. A direct excision of the redundant skin will need to be performed leaving a rather visible scar in the gluteal fold. Wearing shorts or revealing underwear may become a problem. The volume will need to be replaced with either fat or an implant. Implants are problematic and in your case you have very little fat. Your options are not great so think carefully and recognize that you will be trading one scar( the redundant skin of your Butt) for another (the long inferior gluteal crease scar). There is no perfect solution in this case.
