I had acne scars and they raised them with the Artefill. They said to come back in 30 days to get more. It took 3 weeks to get the results. My scars looked filled in almost all the way and then it all disappeared. Very frustrating. Thank You for your time.
The microspheres in Artefil is permanent, but it is mixed with a collagen gel carrier. The collagen gel dissolves which is maybe why you notice the filler dissolving. Your body should lay down new collagen around the microspheres. I'd recommend you go back to your doctor and have a discussion. You may need more product placed. I'm sure he/she would be happy to answer your questions.

I had artefill injected almost a year ago around my mouth, and my face feels puffy mostly around my cheeks and under cheek bones. When I touch my face I can feel the gel. Will this go away soon or will it remain like this for 5 years?
A year after your treatment your result is likely to be your final result. The collagen gel in the product dissolves quickly and the permanent part of the product is left behind. If you are unhappy with your results, I'd advise you return to you doctor and see if there is anything that can be done to improve your appearance.

Artefill is considered to be a permanent product. There isn't anything you can inject to remove it like there is for Restylane or Juvederm.
