Hello doctors, I am certain about getting rhinoplasty because I have always had a rather bulbuous tip and wide nose (extended alars). I have a bump and slight largeness to the left side of the nose as well. My main concern is the bulbuousness and the drooping of the tip which ideally, would be the main goal I want out of the rhinoplasty. I would ideally like to have a slimmer nose & more refined/upheld shape to the tip. Can alarplasty achieve that w/o scarring? What should I expect? Thanks!
You are a fantastic candidate for an ethnic rhinoplasty. The nasal bridge should be carefully reduced and incrementally.
The tip is droopy which requires depressor muscle removal (fairly routine in ethnic noses); tip skin debulking, nostril alar and sill narrowing (conservative and natural); tip raising (without excess nostril show). Please contact us with more questions at ghavamiplasticsurgery.com.
I know it seems like a silly question but its really not. Take for example my hair stylist. I've found she does a much better job if I'm her very first client of the day. Verses being the last when she;s worked all day and tired. I know a stylist goes through a lot more clients in a day then a surgeon, so their not comparable. But i'm still wondering if it makes a difference? I've researched my surgeon and am confident in him but i'm still looking for the best possible results, as is anyone!!
Every surgeon is different and has different preferences as to the time of day to perform surgery. My energy level allows me to do surgery all day. I thrive in the operating room. My focus, attention to detail and my mental stamina are magnified in the operating room atmosphere.
I was in wrestling a few days ago, and I was slammed on my nose and now it is swollen and hard to breath out of. It's very sensitive, and whenever I move it, it makes a clicking noise. I'm just wondering if it is broken, and worth going to the doctor for.
It sounds like you are describing a broken nose. Contact a facial plastic surgeon to assess your situation. You may elect to wait approximately one week to allow alot of the swelling to subside. Your surgeon will examine and evalutate you and come up with a possible surgical plan.
