Can Artefill Be Used for Temples? Is This Product Risky for This Area? Can Artefill be used for temples? Is this product risky for this area? I have no fat left in my temples. I also have Fibromyalgia and Psoriasis.

A: Artefill for temples

One of the areas to use artefill is in the temples. The key to this and any other filler is to know the depth of injection, and how to layer it out well. This is a great place for its use. If you have lost some of your own tissue, it isn't likely to come back, so a more permanent filler could be helpful.

I am not sure if anyone would say that it is not a problem to use with fibromyalgia as there are many unknowns with what causes this process. I don't think it is at all a problem for the psoriasis however.

If Artefill is Permanent, Why Did Mine Disappear in One Month? I had acne scars and they raised them with the Artefill. They said to come back in 30 days to get more. It took 3 weeks to get the results. My scars looked filled in almost all the way and then it all disappeared. Very frustrating. Thank You for your time.

A: Artefill - permanent

The microspheres in Artefil is permanent, but it is mixed with a collagen gel carrier. The collagen gel dissolves which is maybe why you notice the filler dissolving. Your body should lay down new collagen around the microspheres. I'd recommend you go back to your doctor and have a discussion. You may need more product placed. I'm sure he/she would be happy to answer your questions.

After Artefill, Will Gel-like Fluid in my Face Go Away? I had artefill injected almost a year ago around my mouth, and my face feels puffy mostly around my cheeks and under cheek bones. When I touch my face I can feel the gel. Will this go away soon or will it remain like this for 5 years?

A: Artefill - gel feeling

A year after your treatment your result is likely to be your final result. The collagen gel in the product dissolves quickly and the permanent part of the product is left behind. If you are unhappy with your results, I'd advise you return to you doctor and see if there is anything that can be done to improve your appearance.
