It was my third time (first time at this clinic) for Laser Hair removal and I wasnt sure what their way of doing things was. I told front desk lady that I needed to shave before the laser hair removal (she says oh you don't need to the technician will do it for you). When technician took me in he literally took just 2 minutes to do procedure and said I was done (without shaving my hair at all)... more
Don't let the doctor's fool you with their packages of "6 treatments," laser hair removal takes many, many treatments to work. Here is why -- you need to have the laser be at the right width/depth while hitting the hair in the growth cycle. Not all hairs are growing all the time. Good laser nurses start with a lower setting so they don't burn you right away, and they build up the laser... more
I have a keloid scaring condition which has always prohibited me from taking care of a very embarrassing facial hair problem I have had since I was a teenager. Now 30 with at the time a very noticeable beard, I found myself having to tweeze, shave, epilate and wax my chin area almost weekly. Because of my scaring condition I had always been afraid to get laser hair removal in fear of getting... more
I have a lot of hair all over my body. I've tried every method there is out there, but each method had it's downsides. Shaving makes my hair prickly when it grows back, waxing causes ingrown hairs, bleaching doesn't work on very thick hairs... etc. I started laser hair removal a few years ago. I've had about 6 treatments on upper and lower legs, and one treatment on bikini area... more
I went three times. The first two visits were to a Dr at a med spa. The third time I tried an RN at another med spa. The RN told me that you can't manually remove the hair after treatment, you have to let it fall out naturally. Had I known that the first two traetments may have been more effective. Even so, I don't feel that it was very effective. You also have to know which type of... more
I have light skin and medium hair that i tried to have removed from my back and shoulders . I paid for 6 treatments and saw just a little reduction on the regrowth. I was not satisfied with the results, so they gave me 3 more treatments for free under their guarantee. After that I just gave up. A few months later, it was exactly the same as when I started. No miracles here, sadly. A huge... more
I had 5 laser hair removal treatments on my upper lip.
The treatment wasn't too uncomfortable. I would say the discomfort was comparable to waxing.
I have fair skin and red/brown hair. The hair has thinned out a bit but I still have to wax. It was a waste of money. more
My problem was great legs but awful long black hair that grew back almost as fast as I could shave it. Went to the doctor who had done a great job removing a lot of tiny strawberry marks and some moles on my body. His nurse is expert at hair removal. For full legs, they strongly recommend 8 sessions because it usually takes that long to rid. (Also, some hair follicles are simply in a... more
I had wanted for so long to do this and put it off mostly because of cost. I am so happy I did it. This is one of those procedures I rave to people about. It has changed my life, no kidding: no more waxing appointments, no more shaving, no more wondering whether I am "swimsuit or bare leg ready".
I am relatively fair skinned with coarse dark brown hair, so I was a good candidate for... more
