Hi I am 6 weeks post-op from a full tummy tuck & want my PS to do a scar revision on me at the 6-12 month mark as my scar is very high ( he doesn't seem very willing to do it). He also did not do repair on my diastasis recti and I have a 3 finger separation. ( I have very good skin skin with no stretch marks from pregnancy) if I can convince him to do the scar revision would I be able to have my muscles tightened/ sewn together at same time? Would my skin need to be peeled back to ribcage again?
Thank you for the question and pictures.
Yes, repair of the diastasis recti can be performed during "scar revision surgery". The repair will require exposure of the abdominal wall muscles (elevation of the abdominal wall flap again).
I hope this helps.
A little over 2 years ago i went to mexico to get weight loss surgery. I had a few incisions but one of the incisions became infected by the time i got back home. that incission healed denting my stomach. It's right above my belly button and from far it looks like i have 2 belly buttons. I would like to get rid of it but i need an idea of how much it would cost.
Although difficult to appreciate from your photos, it appears that you have some depresion on your abdomen form the infection. There are several option that range from a scar revision to fat grafting to the area to help elevate the depressed skin. You would need to see a plastic surgeon in person to help better understand your options.
Best of luck,

Hi, I had appendicitis when I was 8 years old and now I'm 21 and would like to get a scar revision/scar removal but mine has a small indent. I would like to know what procedures would you recommend, the length of time of the particular processes, and the estimated cost or pricing depending on the photo provided. Thank you!
Thank you for the question and pictures.
You may benefit from scar revision surgery. This operation will serve to smoothen out the contour of the area. The indentation and the shadow it creates may be making the scar more visible. Hopefully, smoothing out the scar may help to make it less eye-catching. Unfortunate, there is no way to “erase” the scar; realist expectations are important. The best we can hope for is a finer, smoother line.
I hope this helps.
