if 6 to 8 sessions can reduce them as much as 75 to 90 percent shouldn't 10 or 12 or even 20 session completely remove them?
Fraxel Re:Store is a much better choice for treatment of stretch marks , as the Fraxel Re:Pair is a little too aggressive for the areas of the body where stretch marks occur - the healing process becomes too long in these areas. Success in treatment depends on how early they are treated. The only stretch marks that I personally have seen improve more than 90% are those that I have treated within 1 month of the time they were noticed by the patient. That is a very unusual situation, but they do remain treatable as long as they are red. Using the Candela V-beam plus Fraxel Re:Store will usually result in 50-75% improvement with a series of 5-6 treatments. You are correct in thinking that even more treatments will result in further improvement, but the increment of improvement starts dropping off after 5or 6 treatments. They are basically scar tissue , so we can improve the appearance but usually not completely eliminate them.
Hi I had fraxel 1927 for two spots on my cheeks, more like little age spots and freckles. Fraxel made me get hyperpigmenation. I now have two dark small patches on my cheeks, The physcian wanted to do Revlite Q Switch, Instead I went and saw a dermatologist who has prescribed hydroquoinine 4% with other ingredients in it, this leaves spots red, she has now given me Finacea. I had this in January 2011 and its now nearly 11 months and my spots have not faded or gotten any better? Is this perm?
Fraxel 1927 is an excellent treatment for removal of uneven pigment because it is rather non-inflammatory.The reason PIH occurs is because it is a response of pigment cells to inflammation.More melanin is made to protect the skin,as it acts as an anti-oxidant as well as an absorber of UV radiation.so basically the new pigment forme as part of a wound-healing response.Once it is there, it is not only in the surface layer , but also just under the surface- itis this part that cn be difficult to get rid of.Usuallly when such a long time period has gone by this needs to be a 2 step process - one to get rid of the existing pigment (low intensity 1927 or one of the q-switched or long-pulsed lasers) and then a phase of treatment with creams to block inflammation and block pigmantation. It is rather complicated so you really need to have a dermatologist who is expert in this area
ive had juvederm filler removed from under both eyes as it had given me fluid bags . had it injected twice and the bags are still would having fraxel help to improve any of this ???? i had a tca peel about 7 years ago under my eyes .
Fraxel will help bags under eyes by tightening the skin.Fraxel Re:Pair is more predictable in doing this in a single session , but does require a week or so healing time ( redness, swelling, crusting ).Fraxel Re:Store generally requires 2-4 treatment sessions and in some patients, but not all will give some visible tightening. Another procedure you should consider is Ulthera - this is a focused ultrasound treatment that results in gradual tightening of the skin without the need for time -off for wound healing. It can be very effective in tightening skin around the eyes
