I had a breast reduction done on June 9 and an now about 5 1/2 weeks post-op. I wasn't going to post but I decided that I should give some motivation to those who want to go small and to those who are afraid of post-op complications because everything went great for me. I had 36DDD, two different sized breasts and they were hanging low. They are now 36B, perky, and sitting right where they... more

I am so happy I got this surgery done! I am 21 years old and used to feel like I was 80 years old! I was always in back, shoulder and neck pain and had NO motivation to do anything also no energy whatsoever! I would have headaches for months due to my nerves being so pinched, as well as my hands would go numb from the nerves in my back! The last 4 months I started not being able to breathe at... more
Had my surgery on Monday 3/17/2014
Four days post surgery, minimal pain. First two days everything itched like crazy. I am not to sure how I'm feeling about the drastic physical change. I'm writing this to share what's happening to me, so that others considering this surgery will know what to expect. I find that I can not look at myself in the mirror, because I get discussed by what I see.
I have been wanting this surgery for the past 10 years. I've always had large breasts, and liked it, but the too large areola and heaviness I am done with.
I am with Kaiser and have been referred to their prerequisite two hour class before I have my surgical consult. Attending the class tomorrow, hopefully I can be scheduled soon!
I attended the Kaiser BR class yesterday. We watched a DVD... more
I wanted to have done due to upper back pain every day due to breasts being too heavy after having my son, couldn't lose weight there. Surgery wasn't too painful, recovery is going well & am healing nicely. I am happy with the size, how the scars are healing & looking. It does take time to get back to every day things.
I started off at a full size D and went down to a size B. I ended up... more
Surgery is tomorrow. I'm excited/nervous/anxious, but I'm ready to get it done. Luckily I booked the date only two weeks out so I haven't had too much time to wait for D day! I can't wait to sit up straight, get rid of my back and shoulder pain, fit into clothes, RUN, not have the seatbelt dig into my neck, buy a bra at ANY store....and so much more. I'm not looking forward to recovery, but... more
I'm sixteen years old, and yesterday I had a breast reduction. I started at a 34DD and my wonderful surgeon brought me down to a B. Since I am only sixteen, I have school in a month! Making this huge decision so late in the summer, I needed to begin the surgery as soon as possible. I went in for a consultation on Wednesday, June 24, 2013 and requested for the surgery to take place within the... more
I recently had a breast reduction due to arm and shoulder pain. During my consultation, Dr. Krant asked about my previous surgeries. I've had 6 abdominal surgeries. My stomach looks like a road map. He said, "I can fix that". He explained the procedure in detail and answered all my questions. He made me feel very comfortable. He has the best bedside manner! After he submitted all the needed... more
Seems like it’s been forever that I’ve needed and wanted a breast reduction and now I’ve finally done it:-) I am at the very young age of 57, so gravity is no longer my friend! I am 5’5” and weigh close to 150 lbs (7lbs of which I’m certain was breast weight). I always thought I was a 40DD until last year when the gal in the bra department came in to measure me. With her expertise... more
I had my breast reduction on feb 6. I went from a 34-36DDD plus to a B-C cup. I'm less than 2 weeks post-op, but love the size difference. The back/ neck pain is gone. Post-op is not a breeze, but worth it. Expect pain, discomfort, limited mobility, emotionsl ups and downs, time off of work, and maybe nausea and constipation. Mine was insurance covered-I don't get statements, so I don't know... more
I found Dr.Apostolides or as I like to call him my Angel, through the web. I desperately needed a breast reduction because of a bad back and neck. From the moment I entered his office I felt comfortable and knew that I was in good hands. His staff is wonderful. I was treated with professionalism and kindness. Thanks to them I feel so much better.
1 week after surgery I am feeling like a... more
I have spent my life with large breasts, always wanting them smaller. I was a DD. Dr. Singer asked me what my goal was. I said it was to be a B or C. He asked me if I had to choose more toward B or C...which would I choose? I said "B." I was also getting a lift. The outcome? I weigh exactly the same as then and my breasts are still DD.
They looked better because of the lift but are still... more
I've always been unhappy with the shape of my breasts, which got worse with droopiness and increased size as I aged. Within just a few minutes into my initial consultation with Dr. Pousti, I knew he was the doctor I wanted to fix them. His impeccable credentials, his warmth, his honesty, and the professionalism and friendliness of his office staff all went into the decision.
Although I... more
Back pain has progressively gotten worse over the years. It's now unbearable and working a 40 work week is not possible anymore. Thank God I've got my pain documented with my doc for the past three years or so. My primary doctor is amazing. Best doc I've ever had in my 44 years. I explained my concerns and he jumped right on it. I'm on a HMO and his office immediately sent a request to the... more
Even so, I began having serious second thoughts a few days before my surgery date, but I went through with my breast lift and reduction surgery a few weeks ago, and I am so glad I did. I went from a sagging 36 DD to a 36B, and Dr. Pousti gave my new breasts a beautiful new shape, exactly how I wanted them. I am far happier with them than I expected to be. A week after the surgery, though, I... more

I'm super nervous & I am amazed at the support from this... more
From the first time I walked into Dr. Pousti's office until my current recovery, I have had an awesome experience.
I am 53 yrs young and Menopause wore me down in many ways. One being, I gained 30 pounds and it seemed all of it was on my chest! So, I lost the 30 pounds and my chest size, basically, stayed the same:(! I had been contemplating a Breast Reduction for 3-4 years and realized... more
I'm 32 years old, 5'8, 135 lbs, and I have considered having breast reduction and breast lift surgery for more than 10 years.
I developed large breasts pretty early on, but also near that same time I gained a lot of weight. It took a while for the "baby fat' (as my mom called it) to come came off, but at 15 when I should have been feeling confident over my smaller figure, I was plagued... more
Ive always had large breast and have endured the physical and emotional trial that comes with them. I often felt they got in the way of activities, limiting my mobility, limiting my ability to wear certain things. Not to mention they drew a lot of unwanted attention from others. My large breast also caused me to have headaches, indentations on my shoulders, heat rashes, neck pain and mid back... more
