Do I Need a Breast Lift Along With Large Implants? (photo)

I'm thinking on having breast surgery and I'm going big, 700cc to 800cc silicone mod plus do you think my nipples will be to low? Do you think I will need a lift?

A: Lift needed? It does not appear from your photos that you would need a lift . You will most likely get the look you want without going that large. It is best to use an implant with the appropriate diameter for your chest. A high profile implant might be the best choice to give you the fullness you desire. See your surgeon to determine the best options for your goals.

Do I Need a Lip Reduction or Augmentation? (photo)

OK so I've kind of accepted that I'll have big lips for the rest of my life. It's something I was teased about growing up and I guess that's where my insecurities on the issue began. I don't really want a lip "reduction" I just want my bottom lip to not hang so much; it's nearly touching my chin. Im too afraid to drastically change the size of my lips b/c of the unexpected outcome, so I've settled for this slight change. Would this procedure be considered a lip reduction or augmentation. thanks

A: Lip reduction You may benefit from a lip reduction procedure. A small strip of tissue removed from just inside the upper and lower lip will modestly reduce the lip size . You will still have attractive full lips, just not as pronounced. There will be a scar but it usually is not visible . Also there may be some temporary numbness or sensitivity. Have a consultation with a surgeon who has experience with this procedure to see if this would be an option for you

Should I Avoid Second Hand Smoke in a Casino 5 Days Before Breast Lift?

I am having a bilateral mastopexy in 5 days. I would like to go out tomorrow night with my husband (possibly to a casino) and there will be smoking. Should I not go because of the second hand smoke? I am not smoking but I am worried about being around it before my surgery. Thank you so much.

Yes, avoidance of secondhand smoke (and all forms of nicotine) is necessary prior to undergoing breast lifting (or any other plastic surgical procedure that involves “flaps”  such as tummy tuck and face lifting surgery).

Nicotine is a powerful constrictor of blood vessels,  decreasing blood flow to the “flaps” used during these procedures. This decrease blood flow could potentially lead to wound healing problems and/or tissue necrosis.
