I am 37 yrs old and wear a size 0 pants or petite 2 pants. I weigh 109 lbs and I am 5'1" tall, I have two children. My stomach blows up like I am 4 months pregnant after every meal.
I have love handles and loose skin on my tummy. I am looking for a non-surgical way of removing of tummy fat/love handles. Some one said that I would need Velashape (6 treatments) + Thermage. Would they work for me, if not, what else is out there? Thank you.
To tighten the loose skin on your abdomen Thermage using a 400 pulse body tip will help you.
You can also use The Vellashape with a seris of 6-8 treatments to improve your love handles.
These procedures will help as long as you are on a good diet and exercise program.
Regarding VelaShape protocols, can we assume that the more painful they are, the more effective they will be? In other words, is there a link between the pain felt and the effectiveness of VelaShape treatment?
Pain is subjective. Some patients will easily tolerate pain levels that others would faint from -- so suggesting pain is an indicator of effectiveness is very misleading.
Velashape provides cumulative results over a period of time and sessions. At our office we see visible response for 90% of patients at 8 sessions. If the pain levels were high, very few patients would endure that many procedures.
Velashape results are based on both radio frequency and infrared light - plus suction. The associated pain or discomfort is a result of the combined heat and the suction which assists in exposing more skin to the dual exposure of the RF energy and the infrared heating. Both of these are the catalysts in reforming collagen bundles so they are smoother and tighter.
Nothing really eliminates cellulite and Velashape should be viewed as a contouring procedure more than cellulite reducer. Firmer skin provides improved visual appearance so the cellulite appearance is minimized since the surface skin is tighter.
Most effective cosmetic procedures involve some level of discomfort but the goal is to provide the most improvement with the most manageable pain levels.
i am thinking of vela shape for cellite on my tighs...how does it work?
The principles behind Velashape are based on radio frequency, infrared light, and suction massage. Using all three offers some of the best response thus far. Unfortunately no system can promise a cellulite cure and the popular treatments for the most part promise contouring and some circumferential reduction over cellultie reduction.
Velashape typically has a 6 session "effectiveness curve". Anything less than that number and you may not see the benefits. In our office we add in 2 extra treatments because from a clinically apparent viewpoint, that's when our patients see the change.
Velashape is cumulative in its process, so each treatment session will spur its own level of collagen tightening and new tighter collagen formation.
For best benefits, a diet strong in fresh fruits and vegetables is recommended. Since the tissue manipulation with Velashape will mobilize entrapped fluids, assisting the process of oxygen exchange within the cells can only help get better results. Also, higher fluid intake (water preferred) and a refrain from high sodium foods, alcohol and caffeine will add to the positive end results. Of course exercise in the form or walking or swimming will help both long and short term.
Opt for a bare minimum of 6 sessions, with a recommendation of 8. You'll need maintenance treatments later on as well. Until we find the magic bullet technology for cellulite, the most we can offer is a certain level of appearance improvement.
