7 months ago I had 1cc of restylane injected into a scar on my cheek by a very well known dermatologist. It created a awful facial asymmetry, a lump on my cheek. I would like to try the hylaurodinase but some Drs on this site say that it won't destroy your own tissue or HA and some say that it will. And then there are all the reviews from patients which are mostly all negative, citing scars and depressions in the skin along with allergic reactions. Is hylauronidase safe or extremely risky?
Greetings~
We have had a great many patients come from other offices to have different HA fillers dissolved with hyaluronidase and we have not had any issues with indentation or allergy. There is always a risk of allergy or reaction but nothing significant enough that I would have any great concern. If by some small chance you had some type of allergic reaction, it is not something that couldn't be managed and resolved. The risk of indentation is probably not one I would be worried about. If you are unhappy with the results of the injections to your scar, I think hyaluronidase is a very safe and effective treatment option.
Good luck~

I'm getting Vitrase injected to remove filler from my upper lip. Does it hurt? Is it any worse than getting the original filler put in? Does it burn when it dissolves the filler?
Greetings~
Don't worry. The anticipation is often far worse than the procedure itself. Vitrace is much easier to have done than the filler was. We have found the bets thing for patients prior to injection is actually ice. If you numb your lips well with ice for a few minutes beforehand you won't have any problem. The consistency of Vitrace is similar to water, not thick gel like filler. Most of our patients are pleasantly surprised how uneventful it is have the Vitrace injected.

I have decided to get hyaloronidase into the glabella as i still have a burning sensation and prominant headache in the front of my head.Would this be adviceable? The area is quite puffy when i frown and has pinkish dots on it.I am also worried about this getting into a vein,is this possible at all? Also would a block in vascular circulation of the brain show on an mri? Thanks.
Greetings~
If you feel the Juvederm you had injected previously is causing pressure or discomfort or doesn't look right, it's quite simple to quickly and safely inject hyaluronidase into the area you had treated with Juvederm. There is more of a chance of the Juvederm causing vascular blockage or putting pressure on a vessel than hyaluronidase causing a problem. When in doubt---take it out.
Good luck~
