I never had the fraxel treatment before, and I was consulting my dermatologist if I should get some. He said, that before putting me under the procedure he would have to put me on some hydroquinone for at least a month. The problem is, I need the treatment done fast, and therefore I don't really have the time to pre-treat my face. Is it safe enough to get fraxel (probably re:store or re:pair) without applying hydroquinone? How bad does the chance of possible side effects increase? Thank-you.
Skin brightening products are recommended prior to treatments with Fraxel lasers but not absolutely necessary! I would highly recommend at least getting on these products IMMEDIATELY after your laser treatment to help prevent any unnecessary hyperpigmentations that may appear post procedure. The use of sunscreen in addition, is highly recommended after any Fraxel laser.
Hope this helps.

If Im on Blood Thinner Will It Cause Any Adverse Affects with Fraxel Treatment?
Being on blood thinners and getting treated with a Fraxel Restore should not cause any excess adverse reactions.
I have a lot of confidence that you will really like your end result with this non invasive laser resurfacing.

Would Fraxel laser remove the white spots I am getting on my arms and legs and shoulders? What kind of procedure would improve these white spots where there appears to be no more pigment left? I seem to have just as many freckles as I have white spots now that I'm 40. Are these white spots considered age spots too?
Greetings~
If white spots and discoloration are your primary concern then you should definitely have a face to face consult to determine the nature of your white spots prior to treatment. If they are sun damage related (which they may very likely be), the color will unfortunately not come back but you may see some improvement with Fraxel by evening out or lightening the darker skin and spots surrounding the white spots.
Good luck~
