Blepharoplasty or Filler in the Tear Trough?

I HATE my under eye bags. They are genetic. I want to have them fixed. My aunt had it done but 10 yrs. later she has hollow, sunken orbital area. I don't want that so I am considering having a filler put in my tear troughs, but I've heard horror stories. I've tried every type of cream, home remedy, etc.

I'm 39 and I don't want to look like I'm in my 40's. I'm attaching a pic taken with light over my head so you can see the bags well. Suggestions?

A: Fillers work well in the tear trough of the right patient 1. From your photo it is tought to tell exactly what you need but a filler such as juvederm may improve your cosmetic problem in that area quickly and with minimal downtime. 2. A transconjuctival bleparoplasty with fat transposition would likely give a longer lasting solution

Can I Take a Shower After Surgery?

I had the heavy eyelid surgery 3 days ago. Is it safe to take a shower?

A: Showering is usually ok a few days after surgery 1. I usually ask patients to keep the surgical area dry for 3-5 days after eye lid surgery depending on what was done. 2. Always check with your surgeon before getting surgical sites wet since there is no hard rule or guideline that says when it is safe to shower.

Browlift Vs Blepharoplasty - Which is Best for Sagging Eyelids?

Is a brow lift (forehead lift) better to raise sagging eyelids than a blepharoplasty?

A: Brow Lift and Blepharoplasty for facial rejuvenation

A brow lift (also referred to as a forehead lift) will lift the brow, in turn making the eyes appear more open. This can address concerns with skin between the brow and the eyelid. If excess or sagging skin on the eyelid is your concern, an upper blepharoplasty is likely the best solution for you. This procedure removes excess skin on the upper eyelid. If you are also concerned about sagging below the eyes, a lower blepharoplasty may be a good option for you too. This procedure removes excess skin and tightens the area underneath the eyes, resulting in a more youthful, rested appearance.
