any risk to do filler for nasafobal line now as i jus had thermage 3 days ago
It is safe to do botox and fillers a few days after thermage so long is there is no obvious swelling. Rarely a patient will have some residual swelling after a thermage procedure which could last for 3-4 days in which case it would be best to avoid botox so that it does not migrate to unwanted areas. Injections 1 week after these rare cases are usually appropriate.
Studies have also shown that the thermage does not melt pre-existing hyaluronic acid fillers in the skin.
Hi, Im only 24 years old and I have had under eye bags for as long as I can remember, people always say I look tired. I am considering Thermage as an alternative to Blepharoplasty. Are there any more options for me that can reduce my under eye fat and tighten the skin?
It is impossible to tell what is right for you without good pictures or a personal examination. In general, Thermage can be effective for early loose skin. Thermage works by tightening skin and building new collagen. For more advanced loose skin around the eyes either CO2 laser resurfacing or laser combined with an eyelid tightening procedure is best.
True "eye bags" are usually fat that has pushed through the skin from underneath. This often occurs later in life, but can be a genetic trait. You must rule out other possible contributing factors such as allergies, hay fever that cause swelling and not true fat bulges. The treatment for fat bags is a surgical blepharoplasty to remove the excess fat. Sometimes this is combined with eyelid tightening procedures or laser resurfacing to treat any skin laxity.
What is the effect?
Thermage and fillers act to create different effects. Radiesses is a filler that is excellent for providing more volume in the cheek, chin or jawline area or can be used to fill folds. Its overall effect is to create volume or plumping in the face. Thermage is a skin tightening device. it heats the skin and causes it to tighten and build new collagen. This can create a lifting effect by tightening all round the face but does not increase volume.
The best approach for many patients is to use the two together. Have a thermage procedure to tighten and lift the skin and add radiesse to the cheeks and lower face to replace lost fat. The net effect is a non-surgical lift where you have reversed skin laxity and volume loss. This is an excellent option for many patients with early aging.
