I'm Getting a Tummy Tuck March 26 Can my Whole Tattoo Be Removed and Should I Lose Weight? (photo)

I'm thirty years old with four kids. I'm schedule to get a mommy makeover March 26 and I'm scared!!! Can my tattoo be completely removed and do I need to lose weight?

A: weight loss before mommy makeover

The more weight  you lose before surgery the better your results will be. Most of the skin and stretch marks from your pubic area to you belly button will be removed with a tummy tuck. Your surgeon will be able to better answer the question since you have already had a complete examination.

Drooping Breasts After Major Weight Loss, Do I Need a Lift With Implants? (photo)

Hello, I am 25 years old, 5'2" and weight 112 pounds. I've lost around 70 pounds over the past 10 years and my boobs have noticeable gotten saggy and I have lost breast mass as I lost weight. I have gone from a 36C to a 32C/34B. I would like to get full C Cup perky breasts. In my case, is a breast lift and implants recommended? I know I'm pretty young and have not had kids yet. Does the current state of my breasts indicate how my breasts will change as I age?

A: breast implants with a possible breast lift

Based on your photos alone you may benefit from breast implants alone however this is difficult to say without examining you in person. Your nipple position looks fairly normal. I would say "possible " lift at this time because you really will not know until you are in the surgery and the implants (or sizers) are in place. I would consult with a few board certified plastic surgeons in your area for a more in depth exam and evaluation. Your overall breast shape is pretty good which is a good predictor of your outcome. Best wishes, Dr.Bruno

Options For Hyperpigmentation of Breast Reduction Scars on Light Skin? (photo)

I had a breast reduction done 6 months ago at 19. I do wish more tissue had been taken, but that's not my main issue. I've had darkened pigmentation around the scars since shortly after surgery, and it has not improved at all in the 6 months after despite using silicone sheeting and BioOil. I have been trying to find other examples of women with a similar problem, but it seems much more common in darker skin. I am Caucasian with fairly light skin. What are my options to deal with this?

A: Dark Scars after Breast Reduction

Hello Daisy,

As the others have suggested, I believe your hyperpigmented scars are actually residual areolar skin.

I would wait a full year, and reassess. If you feel that the appearance is unacceptable, you may consider a scar revision, possibly with further reduction as well if you feel you are still too big.  This will allow the surgeon to fully excise areolar skin and will probably leave you with light colored scars.

Best of luck!
