Hello. My eyes are slanted and I would like more almond shaped eyes. Are there any procedures that can help me achieve this with natural looking results?
Difficult to tell from the low res photo taken at a distance, but I'm in general agreement with other responders. Eyelids can be adjusted for a specific look, but very delicate procedure. Really should see a good plastic surgeon (or several) for opinions in person.
I got a blepharoplasty three weeks ago and one of my lower eyelids is drooping. I am 58 yrs old and in good health. I am putting ointment in my eye and taping it into place every night and massaging it several times per day. After the first week, the eyelid came up a bit but no progress has been made in the last two weeks. My surgeon says she can put a stitch in the corner of my eye to pull the lid up if it does not improve. Is this the best way to fix it? How long should i wait?
This problem must be approached individually. Treatment depends on the degree of eyelid malposition, whether or not there is lagophthalmos, what symptoms you are having, what the trend is over time, how bad it looks, and how you feel about it. Tarsorrhaphy, suggested as a possibility by your surgeon, is a good temporary solution. Corticosteroid injections, massage, and surgical revision (usually a minor office procedure) are other treatments. Sometimes, spontaneously resolves as orbicularis tone recovers and edema (swelling) resolve.
After a Blephoplasty and fat grafting 10 months ago, i have been left with uneveness on the lower lid/cheek junction on the RHS. I also have thin skin on the lower eyelids which is always dark especially in the corner going down to the tear trough area. Partly from skin thinness and partly pigmentation. I look old and tired from the darkness and a little strange from the uneveness on the cheek area. The doctor did a second fat graft 4 months ago and the uneveness has now increased. Please help.
Fat grafting is less predictable than fat repositioning, and even less predictable than off the shelf fillers such as hyaluronic acid or calcium hydroxyapatite. If the appearance bothers you, have it revised, preferable NOT with another session of fat grafting.
