I'm 1 month PO. I adore my new breasts! I love the size and shape. They are so close to perfection. All I wish is for them to be a wee bit closer together, without the aid of a push up bra. Are larger/wider implants the only option? I would feel comfortable going slightly larger, but cost is an issue. Please note I do praise the surgeon. He is very highly renowned. I understand he's done a fabulous job & that my anatomy may be making it difficult to achieve very close breasts. Thnk you.
Things will get better (softer, more natural, easier to push together with bra) as swelling resolves and skin envelope expands. Normal intermammary distance about 2.5 cm, and yours appears to be less. You answered your own question, and have a great result.
It's been one month since my breast augmentation procedure. I'm happy with the size and shape, though I would consider going slightly larger. Part of the reason I would consider going larger is in the hope that the gap between my breasts would be minimised. Changing sizes would cost a great deal of money, which I'm hesitant to go through with. Are there any alternatives? Do you think they are too far apart? Any honest advice would be greatly appreciated.
No, they aren't too far apart. You have a great result, considering your starting point. Your nipples are off to your sides, and the implant must be centralized behind your nipples. While it's true a wider implant would bring the inner edges of your breasts closer together, a wider implant would also encroach on arm mobility and lower the bottom of your breasts. Your ribs angle off to the sides, which tend to lateralize the implants. Your surgeon did a great job of compromising between central location of the implants behind each breast, and medializing them to provide you with satisfactory "cleavage," which you most certainly will have with the right bra.
Hello, I am 5 weeks post op. I had 400 cc Mentor High Profile implants put in under the muscle (partially). I did not have a lift. Prior to surgery I was a 32A, I had shown my PS pictures and said I wanted to be a very full C. I am 5'2 and weigh 122 lbs. I measured my breasts yesterday and I am only measuring as a B cup. I am very disappointed. Also, although they appear round from some angles, from other angles they almost look flat. Did I go to small implant wise? Will they always appear flat?
Cup size varies with bra style and brand. You are a C cup at, say, Intimacy, but maybe a full B at Nordstrom or Victoria Secret. More important is how they look on your body, proportionality, texture, symmetry, contour, sensation, and other factors, which by any standard appear quite nice.
