“Subtle Improvement - Redwood City, CA”
I had Ulthera done in four sections along my jaw to improve the appearance of jowls. It took about 20 minutes total. I took 800mg of ibuprofen before the treatment. Still, it was very painful and I had nerve pain, with occasional "zings" of sharp pain in my jaw and teeth for about 3 days after the procedure. After 4 months, I'm not seeing much of an improvement. What do others think?After... more
Hi have had Ultherapy a couple of times awhile back (I'm 43) and just had it done again. I have to say it matters WHO does it more than anything. I had "ok" results the first couple of times but this last time I went to someone new and she did an AMAZING job. I wish I had gone to her in the first place. Highly recommend it and it seriously works well on me. I feel like more aggressive... more
“Smooth and Firm - Palo Alto, CA”
I have seen D. Hessler for Botox, filler and a variety of skin brighteners, but she suggested the Ultheraphy. It was a simple in office procedure that involved a little relaxer to take the edge off and a wand smoothing out the lines on my face and neck. It was not painful until she went around the temples which the muscles twitched as she went back and forth. The neck and eyes were the... more
“The Most Painful Experience of my...”
I just had the treatment yesterday. It was administered by a md/derm and the cost was $2500. I'm not sure of the results yet, but can tell you about the pain... it was simply ENORMOUS and i was medicated with the prescribed pain medication taken 30 min prior. I've had 2 children (natural child birth) and laser hair removal, but neither compare to this horrifically painful treatment. I can not... more
“Ulthera, Day 2 - Daly City, CA”
Pros- non invasive, good reviews, skin complexity improved after procedure Cons- pain, result may vary I am a 46 year old woman. Done Ulthera yesterday. It was painful, 5/10 level, took iboprofen 800 mg and vicodin. Had redness for about an hour after. It's only day 2, my skin looks smoother and brighter, fine lines on forehead almost disappear. Eye brows lifted about 1/2 cm. My... more
“Very Happy with Results - Mountain...”
I had the perimeter of my face done two weeks ago and am very impressed with the results. Over the past 3 years I have lost 50lb and also hit 50 years so I started getting jowls! My chin and neck has really firmed up and there is a lift to my brow - eyes look more open and jaw line is more defined. I am thrilled with the look because it is very natural. I say I look like I did 10 years ago... more
“Birthday Gift to Me - San Jose, CA”
I decided that at almost 48 I looked older than I felt. I wanted something non-surgical to firm, tighten and give my skin a lift. A consult confirmed that my skin had more laxity than is typical at my age. I went in June 2 for the procedure, which was helped by Valium and a painkiller. The most discomfort came around areas near the brow bone, jaw bone and that's where the tenderness... more
“Ultherapy Side Effects - San Jose, CA”
It has been one week since I had total neck and face ultherapy treatment. My dermatologist used a facial numbing creme which I believe helped a lot but at times it was painful. My face was red and tender afterwards. The redness wore off in about an hour. However, it is one week later, and my face is tender to the touch and my cheeks still feel kind of numb. I did not see any improvement in... more
“Just Had Ulthera - San Jose, CA”
Unexpectedly painful. Took one vicodin and got one Demerol injection prior to the procedure and halfway through it they gave me another half of a vicodin tablet. It did not even take the edge off of the pain. I just had this done a few days ago so I have not seen any improvement yet in my face or neck. I haven't told any of my friends or family yet and had one of my neighbors drive me... more
“Had Ulthera Treatment Today -...”
I made an appointment for Ulthera to, mainly, tighten up my jowls and neck. I was very nervous when I went in for the treatment today. However, once we got started, I did not find the pain to be too severe. The temple area and near the lower jaw sent a little jolt through me. Other than that, I would rate the overall pain (on a scale of 1 to 10), to be a 3 to 5, or mild to occasionally... more
