Mom of 2, 5'9 180 lbs.after being on steroids for 15months I've gained 40lbs .Recently lost 15lbs .It is so hard to loose the the weight ,even with diet and excersie .I never had a stomach or love handles or even back fat.My breast droped and i don't feel good about myself at all.My inner thigh isn't tight any more.I don't expect everything to be done at the same time ,but this is my last option
Enlarging breasts by fat grafts has multiple side effects such as tissue scarring, calcification and oil cysts. the debate continues on how long the fat cells will last. It takes several sessions making for an expensive treatment and usually only increases the breast up to one cup size.
i am getting surgery in a week going from a 32b to a full c cup
If you are referring to the time the actual surgery will take, that can vary with the surgeon, usually about an hour and a half. But if you are wondering how long the surgery results will last, that can vary greatly from patient to patient. The implant manufacturers have a lifelong warranty on their implants and a ten year warranty on help with reimbursement for surgery costs if re-augmentation should be necessary. I tell patients they should plan on having a redo at some point in their life.
I am assuming this varies from doctor to doctor and I plan on asking my PS these questions as well, but I was wondering how the majority would answer these questions. Will I need to buy a post op bra or will/should it be provided by my surgeon? I've heard about "silicone" bandages or something along those lines for scarring after surgery. Are these good to use? Amica Montana pills, vitamin E and B? Are these reccomended and safe?
Each office will have their own policy, but I provide a soft cup, front opening bra that is placed on the patient before waking up from surgery. Once the incision has healed I recommend silicone sheeting to be used over the incision for scar management. Arnica Montana is a homeopathic remedy that many believe helps with swelling and bruising. I inform my patients of this but it is optional. I do recommend that my patients take a good multiple vitamin that does not have more than 400 units of vitamin E which can thin the blood. Be sure to inform your surgeon of any supplements that you are taking as many of them can have blood thinners in them and that is something to be avoided two weeks before and two weeks after surgery.
