I finally decided to get Botox after nursing my son for 2 yrs. I felt it was a treat for enduring and embracing motherhood. First of I will say I am a fainter. I fainted my entire pregnancy and am very susceptible to heat stroke. I wasn't nervous or scared Nor did the procedure hurt. I did however FAINT. That night I felt extremely sick, I had a terrible headache and felt a heaviness to my... more
I needed a quick fix to lift my eyebrows. my eyes looked tired and makeup didn't fix the problem. when your eyebrow drops it takes away from the shape of the eye and how you are perceived by others. I went for botox injection and some juviderm fillers in my facial lines, cheeks, as well as the sides of my chin. It is magic, firts of all i noticed the difference the fillers made right away in... more
Dr. Christopher Manios in Danville is a Godsend. First of all the guy is brilliant. He went to Harvard after all. He's super sweet. His office is clean and conveniently located with great parking. I've gone to him 3 times now for botox and I have to say I will be a lifelong patient. If he can keep me looking young and awesome, sign me up! I have 3 kids and honestly don't sleep enough and after... more
I've been getting Botox treatment for several years. I typically get 40 to 60 units at a time. The effects are dramatic and wear off gradually over 6 months. I buy a deal from Groupon, Amazon Local, or Living Social when available. Otherwise, my plastic surgeon's office charges only $10 per unit. 123 more
I originally when to Dr. Attaran for a breast Aug, and came back for a follow up after my procedure and decided to try him out for Botox too!
Once I got Botox from Dr. Attaran I wouldn't go anywhere else. His attention to detail is what makes him so unique. He spends time examining my individual muscles to determine the best corse of action to get the BEST results. I never look overdone or... more
I wanted to try it for the experience but I only did it once. The idea of shooting poison into my body just didn't feel right. It did remove the wrinkles and there was no negative, but the results are short-lived. I prefer something more permanent. I only did the forehead area so I had no problems with losing expression in my face. I would do it again for a special occassion.
I have decided... more
I had "11" lines between my eyebrows due to perpetual frowning and wanted to prevent deeper wrinkles from developing.
Pros: 1. Dr. Mabrie is Board Certified and only works on faces. 2. I got a clear estimate of cost prior to my treatment. 3. Was able to get consultation and treatment done at first visit saving time and waiving consultation fee. 4. Charges by the area not by the... more
I've had Botox treatments many times for my forehead lines (the # 11 between my brows and crows feet). Because I have such strong muscles in those areas, I require significantly more units than the average person, hence the higher cost.) It takes me 10 to 14 days to see real results and they are fabulous. Unfortunately, they only last about 8 to 10 weeks for me.
I was considering... more
Iam a 31yr old female with the beginnings of crows feet. I decided, after a lot of thought, to give botox a shot.I got a very small amount - supposedly the smallest my Dr. administers - to my crows feet. Not worth it.It's now been 3 days and I am experiencing some side effects. The insomnia and anxiety is the worst. I literally have not slept more than 1/2 an hour in the more
I am 41, and got two botox treaments (two different injection sites per treatment) this year, for $300 per tube, two tubes per treatment. My plastic surgeon is well known and performed the injections- one over each eyebrow and one near the outside of each eye.
The results were stunning, but botox does definitely make you feel a little weird. I had no bruising or swelling... more
