It seems like some look worse under the eyes, some still have jowls, some even look better before? The only difference i see is the hanging turkey neck? What is the difference between quick lift and standard lift?
First of all, no facelift will change the eyes. A quick lift is less surgery which will achieve less and not last as long. You need to see an experienced facial rejuvenation surgeon to evaluate your needs and your personal goals and expectations, and then to recommend exactly what should be done for you.

I have performed Face Lifts for over 20 years and do indeed offer a minimum incision version of the larger, more invasive, tradional Face Lift. This minimum incision Face Lift trims, tightens and removes excess SMAS layer, fat and skin along with shaping of the cheeks.
Having said all of that, I still cringe when I read things like a "Quick Lift" or a "Mini Lift" when referring to Face Lifts because historically they can mean anything and all too often represent a watered down, ineffective version of a proper Face Lift.
IMHO, whether it's a minimum incision Face Lift or a full, traditional Face Lift....the Face Lift, in order to be effective, must have the following components.
- There must be an incision around the contours, of the ears, allowing removal of excess skin
- The SMAS layer must be dissected, lifted, trimmed and re-sutured together and not merely folded upon itself or anchored with barbed sutures as these will most likely loosen in the near term
- Excess fatty tissue should be removed
- The Cheeks should be shaped aesthetically to create a natural, youthful and attractive face
Any minimum incision or dissection variant of the traditional Face Lift that accomplishes these goals will be worth while, IMHO. Those that do not, should be avoided. The reasons to have a minimum incision variant of a traditional Face Lift are the following: The Minimum Incision Face Lift has:
- Much smaller incisions, about 1/4 the length of a traditional Face and Neck Lift
- No incisions within the hair bearing scalp in either the front or the back.
- Limited and reduced area of skin and tissue dissection allowing a much shorter recovery time as well as less bruising, discomfort and swelling
- Ability to travel in as little as 3 days versus 10 days for traditional Face Lifts
- Allows facial rejuvenation at earlier stages, of facial aging, avoiding the noticeable, drastic changes that can occur with the traditional Face LIft
- Fits well with the fast paced, hectic lifestyle of today's modern society
Hope this clears up any confusion about this type of Face Lift.
